Sangean PR-D6BU AM/FM Compact Analog Portable Radio

Sangean rings all the bells. You can't even compare other radios to a Sangean radio, they are so good in every category, it's not a fair comparison. The sound quality, size, reception, build quality, exceptional performance.

Finally found an 'old fashioned' one for my Mom... this has the handy dial so you can quickly find your station. It runs on 4 aa batteries but lasts a long time. Great for storm season and for music and weather. It sits in her kitchen now. Color is beautiful; good quality product! Found nothing comparable elsewhere at all -- love the simplicity of analog.

Cute little radio with big sound. It is heavier than it looks so I believe it will be very sturdy. This will be my little beach radio. The rubber antenna is also a plus because you just screw it off when you store the radio. Every radio I have seen or owned with a telescoping antenna the antenna was broken. Can't really comment on the battery life because I haven't had it long enough to use up the first set. Overall I am currently very pleased with it. If that changes I will repost.

A good deal in a solid, basic llittle analog radio. Looks great, sounds really good... especialy with the separate bass

great fm and fm stereo through headphones. AM band performance was weak on anything distant while radios such as Sony icf19 performed far better. Analog tuners are nice to use but no advantage over dsp in this case. The biggest negative, tuner dial is stiff, making band scans a real chore. Well built, good speaker, nice package, AA batteries, bass treble are great features.

great size for my bathroom, but hardly any volume. Even in a quiet room my cell phone is louder than this.

poor radio reception. cheaply built...would not reccommed unless it is to be used for a childs toy.

I have trouble with reception in my house and this radio comes through loud and clear.
