We bought this for a TV that is hardly ever used. It is used by our grandkids when they are visiting and it worked great. A great product for not a lot of money. So glad we bought it from Walmart.
It plays all my dvd with great clarity.
It's was for my house
I just got this on 6/2/16, got it home, got it out of the box to set it up, and boy was it easy. I was surprised too on the picture, not too shabby for $50.00. The remote could be just a tad bit bigger though. Overall very happy with my purchase, it will be getting A LOT of use.
Nothing bad about this, as it's your basic bare bones Blu Ray Player. Don't need internet connectivity and don't need Netflix like the questions are asked here. Only downside is that no HDMI cable or Batteries but that is to be expected. Remote on the small side too than most remotes. Played a BluRay from Redbox and it worked just fine. Satisfied overall. Just remember price paid and features and don't expect a lot.
good quality for the price, plays both DVDs. Easy set up. Have to use the remote which came with it, is the only downside.
Works great for a reasonable price. Simple controls.
I opened the package and the FIRST thing I noticed was the weight. It weighed mere ounces. Whatever was inside must have been made mostly of plastic because it was so light. The remote came WITHOUT batteries! Who does that? Also, no cable. It was basically a light shell DVD player with no apps like Netflix, Hulu, You Tube, etc. I went on to purchase a SONY DVD player with all the apps and a MUCH higher quality from Walmart for $50.00!!!! SAME price. TOTALLY different in terms of quality. I love my new Sony Blue Ray DVD player. Steer clear of this product - a complete waste of money!
Right at 3 months, it started making terrible loud machine noises playing regular DVDs, so loud you could not hear the movie sound over the noise. At 3 months and 1 day I took it back to Walmart who refused to exchange this as it was 1 day past their return policy, so you need to go call Sanyo Customer Service. Called Sanyo, then waited and waited for the RMA to return it. Had to call 4 times, eventually got them to e-mail the RMA as it never arrived in the mail. Then they called to say the BluRay Player that I bought was now unavailable and could not be repaired or replaced, so could they replace it with a Panasonic. I said yes (expecting a new replacement), but what they sent was a refurbished (i.e. used) Philips Player that arrived with scratches and a scuffed up front. Note to ALL, Sanyo failed to say they will only compensate you with a refurbished unit if you return anything (that is their claimed policy), remember this when you buy a Sanyo product. Its now 3 months later and I am still trying to get either a full refund or new replacement unit from Sanyo. Tried speaking to a Sanyo Customer Service Supervisor after no joy with the standard CSR, told they were busy so would call back, but I am still waiting for that call. I will never buy a Sanyo product again, and advise others not to either, as their warranty is false, as you will only get returned a used piece of junk (which I probably could have got from Goodwill for $10) for a defective unit that failed after very limited 3 months use.
This is by far the WORST device I have very had the misfortune of purchasing in my life, only reason in putting 1 star is because I can't put it at 0, do yourself a favor and spend the extra 45-50$ and buy a good one, this RUINED my Hunger Games Mockingjay BluRay, I had to physically open it to remove the disk because it refused to turn on or even eject wouldn't even let me atleast watch it, just fully died I only had it for 2-2.5 weeks
