Great 55" TV.. Great picture and sound up to 100..a steal for under $400.. I would recommend this purchase.. Easy set up.. I've got a other 45" TV by Sanyo I've had for six year's still working great.. I read the review's and a few other's complained.. I think they were just to picky.. If your looking for a good affordable big screen TV, you won't regret buying this TV.
Was having trouble finding in the Paris, Texas area for about 3 weeks. Located a few in Bonham, Texas and finally located 2 in Hugo, Ok. Went to walmart.com, placed my order around 11 am and at 4 pm that same day was in Hugo picking up my tv. They had emailed and said it would be ready around 4, but I never got a final email, but I called the store and it was back in walmart.com. At Hugo, they don't have a special person doing the walmart.com orders, its like that at probably alot of stores, but they were there and finished up my order while I was there in a jiffy. I was back home just after 5 pm and watching tv. I think the remote is a little flaky, called Sanyo, because I never saw which HDMI to plug in. I had used all three and still no picture. Someone had left it in the wrong input source and me having trouble with the remote , so I used my old sanyo remote and put it HDMI 2 where I had left the hDMI cable and bam, we up and good. The price was excellent at 398.00 and I am happy.
I purchased this tv a couple weeks ago after the other tv blew up only two years old. The Sanyo has a better picture ,more options on the picture ,sound etc. It has a stand that supports it very well . The size is great for all around viewing in any room .I really like the picture size choices it makes most shows fit well . The sound is good with a lot of increase and the choices are good such as vivid sound or normal . Without having HD it has a great picture. Steve
This set has a superb picture, tuner reception and is much lighter to handle than slightly older TVs of this size yet is still durably constructed. This is a good top of the line choice before you get to the new UHD level which now forces you to go with Smart TVs and a brave new world that still has many unanswered privacy issues to sort out.
Sanyo products are generally going to be solid value buys, and this TV has been no exception. Simple set up process, great picture quality, and at a lower price point than the "sexier" brands. Highly recommend.
First big TV I've owned. Arrived in excellent condition. Picture is great. Remote is simple. Just the way I like it. I thought the price was great.
we got this tv for our master bedroom. the picture quality is amazing!!! the sound isn't so great, but we also bought a surround sound to make the sound better. but for the price, the tv is perfect!!!! I would definitely recommend this tv to all of my friends and family. I actually plan on buying two more for my kids bedrooms.
We just purchased this TV to replace a 50" LG that died after just under three years. We decided to go with Sanyo as we have two other older Sanyo TVs that have been working flawlessly for quite a while. I am impressed with this TV. In comparison to the LG, the screen seems to be of the same quality but the backlight might be "slightly" dimmer. The sound in better on the Sanyo by a large margin. We had purchased a soundbar as the LG was rather quiet, especially with two small children. As with any of theses new TVs, I can't speak for long term durability. I am hoping that it matches our other Sanyos. The inputs seems to be well laid out with three HDMI, a component/composite, USB, and VGA/analog audio. There is a headphone and optical audio ouput. The only thing that I miss on the LG over the Sanyo is a little more "flashy" menu system and the remote on the Sanyo is a bit generic. I can overcome both of these pretty easily. This TV isn't "Smart" but we have a "smart" blu-ray player for streaming functions so that doesn't really matter. Bottom line, if you're looking for a good 1080p "dumb" TV, this is definitely worth looking at.
Ordered online and received 2 days later. Took me a while to get the colours right but now I love tge picture especially for sports and movies.
We were looking for a bigger tv with a cheaper price. This is the best deal! However, the display is relatively dimmer and darker even if we tried to turn the backlight and brightness up... so average I would say
