After receiving news that I had cancer my cancer specialist suggested that I not use sugar instead use maple syrup because it does not feed the cancer cells in the same way that regular sugar does. I have been using this for seven years and I prefer it to any other sweetener. And the fact that it's organic and always the same flavor %26 does not disrupt the flavor of my coffee in the least. I am a true fan!
This stuff is BEYOND delicious.. I mean YUM..... a hint of spiced bourbon is what it tastes like and maple syrup sweet , so good in coffee, tea, on peanut butter and pancakes with bananas which I added a photo of for the review but they need a scratch n sniff... LOL.....and its great over vanilla ice cream, endless possibilities... even on chicken in the oven,,, I accidently grabbed this kind instead of plain Maple Syrup and SO GLAD I DID.
I've tried a lot of different maple syrups. Including some gourmet flavored ones. This syrup has beat them all. You open the bottle and there's a wonderful aroma, then you pour it on a little French toast and the flavor is amazing. It compliments, adds to and intensifies the flavor of what you're eating. I am sold! I don't think I'll ever buy another brand of maple syrup. At least as long as they remain consistent.
Although it is costly compared to the wanna be syrup, this is the real deal, not this fake corn syrup with some dye or whatever they call syrup nowadays. This is the real sap from the tree which is a process that isn't as easy as mixing up some chemicals that are horrid for your system. It takes much less of this for the flavor without a plate of sugar/flour soup. If you haven't tried the darker syrup it might be just what you looking for. Not just for pancakes! I use this for baking and drizzling on fruit with nuts and some coconut yogurt, delicious!
OMG you NEEEEEEED A LOT of THIS in YOUR LIIIIIFE! I would advise buying more than three to avoid being angry at yourself once you taste it and immediately want more but this dude named ME has beaten you there to get it. JUST BUY IT. Thank me l8tr. The Texture is amazing.
I've been trying various maple syrups. Most have extremely subtle variations. I honestly expected the same from this and thought the bourbon thing was going to be a gimmick. Ummm, it's not. It tastes like bourbon. It starts very bourbon and then finishes with bourbon and maple. I knew as soon as I opened it that it wasn't a gimmick. I smelled it instantly. I'm not even a huge fan of bourbon and I don't even drink. But honestly this is pretty good. I think it's worth a try. It's worth a try more than any of the half dozen maple syrups I've tried recently as it's the most unique and has the biggest flavor variation. I feel like the next thing would have to be a fruit-infused maple because this is infused. It's not plain maple. I think what makes it good is there is a strong bourbon flavor but there isn't any bitterness or anything from it. it finishes smooth with the maple. Very solid entry into enthusiast syrup.
OMG! I was going to get the regular Maple Syrup, but I saw Bourbon. Yep! Soon as I got it out of the bag I opened and stuck out my tongue. I couldn't wait even for the spoon. (I live alone and no one visits.) So, OMG, I felt a bit "drunk." LOL It is delicious. My very next thought was: "I've got to put this on pancakes." Add this to anything and it is better than other sugary, non-healthy products. Buy the best. It lasts, it keeps you out of the hospital, AND it is simply DELISH. When it is REAL, a little dab-a-do-ya! (I like THICK. But, I prefer QUALITY and DELICIOUSNESS.
I love a pure maple syrup , this is so good !!! But make sure the lid and top of bottle is wiped or washed off as the lid will get stuck . If that happens just put in hot water upside down for about 2 mins and you're good to go.
unfortunately, i did not read past "maple syrup" in the description. Did not even notice on the lable. Made some pancakes and was excited to have some maple syrup on them....until I took a bite and tasted this revolting excuse of maple syrup. Sober 20 years and this disgusting stuff tastes just like burbon. my stomach lurched instantly and i spat it on the floor, literally thinking, that someone at the plant played a cruel joke with syrup by putting booze in it becuase i know the bottle was sealed. Now i only had it hit my tongue for a split second, but i did not taste a hint of maple in this God awful concoction. Luckily this is supposedly an alcohol guarantee on this stuff. Or i would be furious. well more furious than i am of having my hopes of enjoying maple syrup pancakes ruined by this abomination of rot gut syrup.
This bourbon flavored syrup was a replacement and I despise bourbon, so the product is useless to me. I didn't get notified of the substitution until the shopper was on his way—nit his error but the system because I got the notice at the same time I was notified he was on his way. I texted him and he sent proof that he entered it nearly 30 minutes earlier.
