It's a short loaf. With the longer loaves, I usually throw away at least half of the bread. Also, this bread stays fresh longer. Wish it was available in thinner slices.
I love the Sara Lee bread! It’s soft with excellent texture and taste and stays that way for a couple of weeks or more. I have never had it go stale or Mold
I bought some of this bread to have soup and sandwiches. This bread makes the best grilled cheese sandwich you have ever tasted. Butter both sides, add some really sharp cheese and drop into a frying pan and let it brown on both sides. Honey, with a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup this really hits the spot and makes your tummy happy. Get some of this bread today and give it a try. It also makes a really great sandwich.
I bought several loaves of bread with my last order as my wife and I were debating which brand is better. I always preferred a different brand. (I'll let you wonder what the other brand might be.) My wife has won this debate as the Sara Lee Classic has a better texture. I like soft bread but with out last two orders, the other bread has just felt like it was stale with the bottom of those loaves being extremely hard, like freezer burn got to them; whereas the Sara Lee Classic loaves have been soft. I wonder what happened to my favorite brand of late. So, for now, the choice for me has to be Sara Lee!
Been eating Sara Lee products since it first came out. Slices have great texture for sandwiches of all kinds, grilled cheese. I prefer buying it here at Walmart, always a reasonable price. I buy it 2 to 4 loaves at a time and place it in an extra-large freezer bag and freeze it till I'm in need of it. Once I unfreeze it, it lasts a good week or more as long as you don't let it get frost bite.
The bread is fine. It's never squashed when it gets here. My complaint is that my fudgecycles are melted a lot of times. When ice cream products are included in the order, the driver needs to plan his route a little better. Another complaint is Answering these surveys would be so much easier if the date was on the order list. The date and the purchase amount needs to be on there like Sam's website. Walmart's website used to be like that but in January of 2024 (I think) it changed. And I hate it! And contrary to what the White House says, the prices keep going up. Yet the government says inflation has gone down. People on fixed incomes can't afford for prices to go up.
The Sara Lee Classic White I bought for years came in a package like the one that is shown and it came in loaf form and I loved it. The loaf was neat and tied right. The bread was soft and fresh and each piece was bigger than my hand. NOW - What I get now comes in a clear "bag" and is small pieces. It is more like a loaf of the cheap sandwich bread that appears to be thrown in a bag and closed as an after thought. And not very tasty. And the price keeps going up. What is up with this bread thing?
I am 69 years old I live on social security I apologize I don't leave big tips cuz I can't afford big tips but I was so disappointed in my last order 10 items were unavailable my experience was totally totally terrible the driver actually called me and asked me how to pick my bananas
2nd worst bread I believe I've had from Walmart. Ruslik Sour dough being the 1st worst. The texture is not soft by any means, tastes like it a 3 or 4 day old bread. The flavor is mute, I mean no flavor at all. Maybe okay for toast or added to a meatloaf, but certainly not suitable for sandwiches. I'd rather have Lewis brand OR GV bread. I do not recommend this product.
This bread was old All dried out. Only good for French toast or feed it to the animals. Will not want to get this bread delivered again. I'm not pleased with this bread and now I have to wait until my next delivery or try to get neighbor to get me a loaf of bread If I could drive to store it would go back. Always have Walmart delivery service. Service is excellent
