My husband loves the Sargento balance breaks shop, cheddar cheese, cashews, and cherry infused cranberries. We have been buying these for for a long time. I highly recommend them their nutritious, priced reasonably and a satisfying snack or small meal replacement.
A friend of ours who is very serious about his diet, who works out and who avoids sweets recommended these to my husband on a recent trip. We have since tried all the varieties and have identified which ones we both prefer. However, none of them are deal breakers - they are all good. What we find is that they hit a nice balance of nutrition and having just a touch of sweet as part of the treat. The calorie content isn't too high, it has protein (in all of them, there is a cheese component and a nut element) and at the current price they come out to a little over $1 each one, which isn't a bad price for a well rounded little snack. We now keep them in the fridge at all times. I highly recommend that you try them.
I really enjoy salty sweet snacks, so this checks both those boxes with the added benefit of being one of the healthier choices. I had never eaten cherry-infused dried cranberries before but I love them! These snacks are, for me, an excellent alternative to a full lunch and they stave off my hunger until suppertime.
Excellent idea for a quick pick me up or in addition to your regular lunch, quick snack before bed. Cheese is sliced into the perfect little bites cashew nuts are fresh and the cranberries are delicious.. I added a few pieces of NAAN with mine and had it as a late lunch.. excellent idea I wish there were more cranberries and more cashew nuts in the package, they are that good.
I've been buying Sargento Balanced Breaks for years. It's great when you need a high protein snack and don't have time for a full meal. I worked for a very busy doctor, was on call and often worked 10-12 hours at a time. Sargento Balanced Breaks was perfect for my hectic schedule.
I primarily use them to mix with A Romain salad including cherry tomatoes, cucumber, croutons or fried onion rings, and diced turkey. I call it my Kitchen Sink salad, if I don't have deli Turkey I add a can of drained Starkist tuna (in water), and anything else I might have in my fridge (cooked bacon. left over veggies (broccoli, carrots, etc.) plus a little dressing.. The salad is my dinner. Healthy and very filling.
I have hypoglycemia and I depend on these cheese and nut snacks to keep my blood sugar steady when I am out and about. I could never snack even between meals on high glycemic foods. I ALWAYS have at least one packet in my purse and/or car. PLEASE don't change the ratio of these high protein nuts and cheese. Thank you so much. JH JACOBS, M.Ed.
Ill put it this way - I have celiac disease and even a tiny bit of gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley) makes my whole body feel like its literally shutting down and about to turn over and die. i bought these and ate a pack before realizing the allergen warning that cross contact with wheat is possible. but the first was so good and had already ate it decided to eat the rest. this week i just bought them again. most likely ill end up getting myself very sick because my luck will run out with getting "safe" batches but theyre soooo good i cant stop myself 😭😭😭 almost 2 years since the last time i accidentally consumed a gluten product and im begging for it with these. 5 out of 5 recommend!!
Love these snacks; the almond version would rated slightly lower but that's mainly because I'm less fond of almonds than cashews. Wish my local Walmart would carry more varieties than the two (cashews and almonds).
like its quick bite size snacks for lunch or in between meals cravings to hold me over. But they are getting smaller in nut and fruit proportion section making them not so filling as before and price needs to reflect the amount of product we consume not the pretty design packaging we throw away.
