I had the opportunity to inspect one of these. It is a very fine piece of engineering. I thought I should provide a review so others know how it differs from other stem risers. The extender on this unit is 1" diameter and will drop down *inside* your 1-1/8" steerer tube. The more rise you want, the more you extend it out of your steerer tube. The smooth surface around the top of the extension is a 1-1/8" diameter spacer. You clamp your existing 1-1/8" stem to that area. The design is really quite clever. However, you must push your Ahead star-fangled nut to the bottom of your steerer tube to make room for the extension to slip inside your steerer tube (and have variable adjustment). You'll need a hammer and a long, large diameter rod (to use as a punch) and beat on the star-fangled nut. If you ever want to go back to your original configuration, you'll have to install a new star-fangled nut which requires special tools. And, if you want to remove the nut that you pushed to the bottom of your steerer tube, you'll have to drill it out. So, although it is an extremely clever and useful piece of equipment, there is a lot of drama involved. It is probably more useful for someone who needs tool-less and variable adjustments. Perhaps for a bike that is ridden by multiple people? It is definitely a useful item, but I believe most bicycle owners who need to raise their threadless (ahead) stem would be better served with the Satori Heads Up-1, -2 or -4 (or the Delta extender). All of these are semi-adjustable, and use your existing star nut for compression of the headset. They don't require the kind of deep modification that the Easy Up does. I give the product 3 stars overall because, it would definitely be 5 stars for the person who needs the flexibility and riser length. But, it's probably 1 star for those who don't. Because it's a niche product, it's hard to accurately rate it. People would either love it or hate it.
