I am 64 years old, a U.S. Army Military Police veteran who still loves to run. These are the most incredible running shoes I have ever worn! The technology that went into developing these sneakers is A-1! The energy return prevents most of the shock from going of your legs and they are incredibly light. I plan on buying a second pair-hopefully in black! Well done Saucony!
Fast shoe, feels very good for a speed work shoe and can easily be a race day option. The heel is definitely higher than expected and I had some very limited rubbing on my ankle as a result but if you wear appropriate socks and don't over tighten the laces it doesn't seem like an issue. The one-piece upper helps with the toe numbness you normally expect from a tighter fitting shoe. Overall pretty impressed, although it is my first carbon-plated shoe.
Best running shoes I've ever had! Perfect balance (literally) of bounce and stability. I also train for hybrid races (DEKA FIT/STRONG/MILE) and they are amazing for all the zone work as well. This will NOT be my last pair! And the black and neon colorway is amazing!
I absolutely love the Pro 5 version. After putting in countless miles from the Pro 3 forward, I believe these are the best to date. I do all of my long runs, fast paced tempo runs and racing in my Pro 5s as part of my shoe rotation. Superb balance, cushion and poppy feeling make these one of my all time favorite shoes. These shoes definitely get into the sweet spot as you pick up the speed for long distance running. I can go out in a 22 mile long training run with tempo sections with these shoes and I feel so refreshed when finished with my legs feeling great and not trashed the remainder of the day.
Awesome light weight shoe. Very comfortable. One drawback tho. They left blisters on the back of my Achilles. I'm going to give the shoes the benefit of the doubt and say it's mostly from my socks sliding down
I've really enjoyed the 'pop' and overall speed of my new shoes. Only real complaint is that the heel lip gave me blisters on both feet (along my lower achilles on a 10km run a few days ago. It doesn't seem well suited to shorter socks. Not sure if this can be eliminated in future versions of the shoe.
Long time wearer of Saucony and love the endorphin series of shoes but something changed in the endorphin pro 5s and are causing heel blisters. I've run in multiple versions of the speeds, endorphin pros, and triumphs and never had any issues. Tried on a few different runs, changing socks, etc and still end up blistering. Unfortunately an unwearable shoe for me!
The Endorphin Pro 5 has been one of the best-feeling shoes I've run in. However, after only 20 miles, the heel is showing damage that I would normally expect after hundreds of miles. Large sections of material along the heel are already breaking down and separating. I understand racing shoes often prioritize performance over durability, and I am a heel striker, but this amount of wear after such limited use is concerning. Given the premium price point, I expected substantially better durability. I am sharing photos because this appears to be more than normal wear and tear. I would appreciate Saucony's review of the issue and whether this level of deterioration is considered normal for the Endorphin Pro 5.
Really like the shoe, but it is causing some ankle irritation on longer runs (30km+). I don't have this issue with the endorphin speed shoes so not sure if it is something about the pro shoes.
Lol you guys didn't accept my first review. Super sus. What do you have to hide? Midsole is good, but whatever you guys did with heel counter is awful. It rubs the ever-loving crap out of my Achilles. Blindly bought two pairs of the 5s thinking that's what I had (I had the 4s). Genuinely regret it, but can't return them. I had to cut the extra heel counter off with scissors. Hope they don't fall apart now
