For reference I have a high arch and slightly wider feet (not wide purchase worthy). The most comfortable shoe I have worn in years. I had gone to Marathon Sports a couple of years ago and they had recommended Mizuno or Saucony and I went with Mizuno. When looking to purchase this time I read all of the reviews of this newer model and it does not disappoint!
I did the thing a marathon runner is NOT supposed to do! I purchased these right before race, took out for a one mile “test drive” That said, I already own 2 pairs of this model, so I knew I liked the product. No issues whatsoever during the 26.2. I now use these as my race sneakers so I one exactly how many miles on shoes. They have 27.2- LOL. A half coming up so soon to be 40.4! The reason for 4star rating is I liked the endorphin speed 3's slightly more. Always seems to be the way, you find favorite model and then they change it. All in all great long distance sneaker. I recommend
Just 2 wks ago the shoes arrived, I've worn them twice for short runs. Although they are very firm and supportive, the upper footbed is narrower than my previous Endorphin Speeds and causes me some pain. But the greatest issue that I have with them is that the shoes have an overwhelming smell of urethane (?) foam and have been offgassing in my closet to the point where I've had to remove them and place them outdoors. The odor of the materials used in construction is extreme.
My only complaint is the width of the shoe, it fits very narrow compared to other Saucony runners. They would be perfect if they just had a bit more space in the toe box, but I've been unable to run too much distance in them due to the numbness that develops in my baby toe after about 30 mins. Sizing up didn't help either.
Does not live up to previous versions of this shoe. Toe box is quite narrow so pinches my toes a bit. I'm wearing them in the gym, I really don't think I could run in them
I got these shoes to alternate with my Brooks Hyperion as they seemed to fit similarly. I was looking for a responsive shoe that has a bit more cushion than Hyperions and could be a daily trainer on rotation. While I really wanted to love these shoes and was super excited about them, they ultimately didn't work for me. I think there might be a defect or just a fitting issue. I usually wear 9.5 and got 9.5 in those too (went to the store for fitting as well), but the right foot (my bigger foot) never felt stable causing discomfort and issue with the ankle and shin muscles. They seemed too roomy despite the size being correct per fitting assessment. This is not the problem I have ever had with any of my other shoes. I run about 50 miles a week (easy, tempo, speed) and I tried them for all types of runs, the outcome is always the same - no stability, wiggly heel, and strained shin muscles. Unlike other brands (e.g., Brooks, HOKA) that encourage taking new trainers on a a few runs to ensure they feel and fit right, Saucony doesn't allow returns of used gear leaving me with the pair I cannot use and negative perception of the brand.
Bought these in hopes they would be as good as the endorphin speed 2 or better. Unfortunately not even close so returned them. The only thing better is the color schemes, finally! But now it doesn't matter because the shoe is different. Looked on the Internet for hours to find my size in the 2's. Found two pair. Now I will have two pair of ugly shoes that I love 🤷🏻♀️
I bought this a few weeks ago to add to my line up. Did few runs and was fine, but at the same time felt like toe box was a bit smaller. Went to run half marathon and it was an absolute nightmare. My foot was so cramped up and numb that I actually had to take the sole out and continue my run to the finish line. I do not have wide feet. I can't return them, so literally threw it in the garbage bin. Extremely disappointed. Will be looking for a new brand perhaps.
Just terrible!! They were so stiff and so big all over I went down 1/2 a size. What happened to my perfect shoe? Version 2 is by far the best! It felt like I was barefoot no cushion no bounce what did you do and WHY!! I used my speed 2s and even 3s for all my runs. Now I'm on the hunt for a replacement! Please please please bring back version 2!!!!
Awful Awful - I have been a dedicated Endorphin runner for years and have purchased previous models in many different colors and have loved every single pair Now the endorphin 4s?? Rock hard sole, No give, Narrow toe box and overall, a terrible running shoe. I have completely switched brands and will not be repurchasing these. I have run one 10k in these and the sole is already falling off they are currently in the warranty process. For the price you pay I would suggest looking elsewhere.
