Sawyer Products SP2129 Micro Squeeze Water Filter

I live off-grid here on the big island of Hawaii, and all the water we get comes from the rainfall. All the water goes into a catchment tank, so I imagine it could have some bad stuff in it, not to mention pollutants. I had a friend that was using one of these, so I decided to try one out. I purchased this Sawyer water filter and Wow, I really wished that I found this little tool sooner. It did 5 gallons of water in less than a half hour. I didn't check the exact time, but will next time to make sure and update. I haven't really tasted the catchment water, for fear of getting sick. But after trying this filter. I drank a whole 16 oz. bottle of water and it was exceptionally tasty. I'm sure glad to have found this little Jewel, as it makes thing's with the water so much easier. Just run it through the filter and drink. Awesome, 5 stars from me for sure. What a breeze

Items is fairly expensive but allows us to drink from plastic water bottles without worrying about micro plastics

Will come in incredibly clutch the next time a "boil water" notice comes through. Also should be useful when camping.

It's compact and can save your life ....one thing to know about filters like this ..do not let it freeze ....for it will damage the filter filament. put in sleeping bag keep it warm ... Screw this to a 2 liter plastic soda bottle and you can sit on it to produce clean water ...life saver.

Arguably the best value for the money if you want to have a source of drinkable water whenever and wherever. Items like the Berkey are good but they're stationary. This has multiple use options and it's portable. The only items that compete with it are possibly some of the straw type filters but if I remember correctly, this actually filters more than those do. Longer usable life.

This is my second one of these and the first lasted for year.

Very good filter, very fast, small and light weight. Worth every penny.

This filter works well. The rubber rings that seal it when it's attached don't work perfectly so, drops slowly come out and you have to keep the filter at a tilt to keep from drinking unfiltered water. I don't test the limits of how much I can squeeze water through the filter, but it comes out at a decent speed.

Bought for emergencies. Luckily have not had to use. Recommended by a family member.
