Sawyer Products Water Filtration Bottle, 1 Liter

I bought this thinking it was going to be like the bottle pictured (which is the old style). When I received the two I ordered they were the new style soft plastic like what you would have on a bike. The old style was like the hard polycarbonate bottles pictured. Either way this was nothing short on the products end but I wish Walmart's site has the correct picture of the product. I wanted the older style because it's what I prefer. Just a heads up to future purchasers!

Filter works great and is a good size bottle. There is a "hose" taste that goes away after 2 or 3 refills. It was a bit of a challenge getting the drinking straw in, but once in it is pretty secure. Overall we have been pleased with the Sawyer water bottle and glad we made the purchase.

The Sawyer squeeze is still the go to for water filters. Admittedly, I don't really use the water bottle in conjunction with the filter. I use the filter for backpacking, and the water bottle is just another water bottle.

great filter. I've been using it for many years. unfortunately, my old one fell and broke. so I got another. I'm glad they still make them.

I used the filter from this bottle in a gravity filter setup and it works great. I think that its no longer available for the great price that I got for so the value may not be the same.

Product worked well on 2 week trip. Leaks when stored in soft side travel bag.

Great for camping & drinking from streams. A little hard to pull form but can last practically forever with provided flusher.

Great product for a great price. Very little resistance from the filter and alone ite weighs next to nothing. That being said id rather use a bottle to gather dirty water and then a steripen to clean it.

This filter doesn't kill viruses on it's own. You have to buy another filter to kill viruses even though the box cover on the front says that it does, it says on the back that it doesn't. If you read all the writing on the box, then you will see that the box is misleading and now I'm not sure if I am going to keep it.

As a rule, I like Sawyer products, but this is poorly designed. By the very nature of the product you will be dealing with water, not to mention hiking dealing with sweat as well. The inserting of the top straw is essentially impossible as it has the same diameter as the orifice you are attempting to connect to inside the top of the bottle. Returned immediately.
