Received my Say Woah quickly. I haven't used it, I got this because I read reviews about it being good for colic in horses and a farrier had told my friend it was really good for that. So I bought this to have on hand just in case. We've lost 3 horses to colic over the years and that's just too many. My granddaughter has one that tries to colic on us every year so now I feel better having this on hand because sometimes it's hard to get a vet to come out or catch in their office when you need one.
This product works. Give to horse at first sign of colic or stomach aches. I keep it on hand at all times and have used on my neighbor's horse - she was late reaching out to me, but we think it truly helped so she could get her horse trailered to the vet in time.
It works if you catch the colic very early on...if the gut has twisted then this won't work and the horse needs surgery immediately! Anyway... I have had 2 episodes this summer of horses with mild colic. They stop drinking, stop eating and just walk in circles with their heads down. I always watch them closely. So I gave them both syringes and the first time that horse drank LOTS of water within 5 minutes.... the second horse it took about 30 minutes for her to go drink. She had been drinking but she needed more...it is hot summer here. Her poop was very wet which tells me there is sand. It looks like that all the water she is drinking is going to help her flush it out... Expensive yes but we just don't have horse vets here anymore....
This stuff has been a mandatory “keep in stock” at our barn, for years. It used to be sold only thru our local feed store; it's amazing to see it for sale on Walmart.com! This product helped us 3 specific times. Each horse had been showing signs of distress and colic (circling, laying down and getting up, kicking at their belly, swishing tail, bending to look at their belly, sweating wet breaking out on neck and belly…) Your horse needs to be good taking oral Wormer, in order for this stuff to be successful. Get the whole 1st Dose in your horse without wasting any… (my broodmares weren't very well handled- we dribbled a lot of this trying to get her to take it. This stuff is expensive.. pretend like it's the most expensive wormer ever. If you can't worm your horse with an oral syringe, it's gonna be hard to dose this orally.just fyi. With our unhandled mare, the syringe it comes with squirted half this stuff out. @ $100/ pop it's too expensive to waste. It's a liquid, not a paste.. so if you're not lucky enough to have a docile Horse, it can be hard to get the dose in their mouth and the plunger is fairly large making it almost a two hand job for smaller hands. It has always helped in our 3 instances when we used it!
I have been using this for many years as I have one horse who used to colic a lot. It is a life saver for us. If any of my animals start showing me their signs of colic, they immediately get this. It is expensive, but so worth it. My guy has already h
My mare was in full blown colic, sweating badly, laid out thrashing in her stall, no gut noises, looking and pawing at her stomach, and it a lot of pain. I have this product to her as it says to and within 15-20 min her gut noises returned and could be he
We have a 21 year old gelding that started with increased frequency in colicky symptoms these past 2 years. Every time this happens, laying down, labored breathing, sweating, head shaking, rolling, etc… we administer a does of Say Whoa and increase his w
I have used Say Whoa before 3 times. The 1st time a mare was showing all signs of colic. After using 2 tubes of Say Whoa, in 30 minutes she was eating and drinking back to normal. The next 2 times it took a little longer on 2 different mares. Appx. 45 to
I bought two doses of “say whoa” Because we were hauling horses across the United States in the summertime. I did not use it on the trip. Thankfully Today, a Sunday afternoon, our big(1400) QH was feeling puny. Just the beginning signs, Pawing at the gro
The product itself is great. However I ordered 2 paste and I was shipped the solution. Doubt it is the fault of Walmart but of NRS where the item was shipped from.
