They're thicker in size. which is nice. They hold more water than the thin ones They're easy to carry and handle even with full. They seem well made. I did order two sets. I am adding one of the sets onto other water containers. on my one umbrella that overhangs the pole. I just wanna be over cautious, but I think these will work great.

I found there's a trick to filling these patio umbrella bases quickly. Take a 40-50lb of sand, and use a large funnel to put the sand into the base. The real quick way to fill a single base up is to put about quart of sand into the funnel, then wash the sand into the base with a garden hose...the water makes the sand go thru the funnel super fast. By using this method you can fill up each of the four bases in about 5 minutes or less. Try this method - it works great!

I just recently purchased a new led patio umbrella and I was just a little skeptical about purchasing this base because of the price and also I wasn't sure that it would work with the umbrella or not. Since purchasing, it's been out in severe storms and it hasn't budged an inch. I have it holding up a cantilever umbrella too, so it means the balance isn't centered like a normal umbrella. It's definitely holding up.

This fits perfectly on the 10ft Cantilever umbrella. Very easy to fill with water and set into place. The umbrella is very now sturdy with this base. Would recommend!

Only wish they had handles, but they moved around easily and have worked well with my umbrella. I like that the fully sit across the bars, but would also like to secure them to each other because they do move a little.
