TV is just what I wanted and I like the new Flat Screens, but the sound quality is POOR. That's one of the reasons I am now purchasing a Home Theatre Surround System for use. That, and a new Corner TV Stand/Cabinet that will better fit my needs. As a Senior Citizen and not uo-to-date about all this stuff (this TV is relacing one I've had for over 20yrs) my rating really might not be off any value.

Sceptre-32-Class-LED-Built-in-DVD-Player-

George December 4, 2016

Once I realized I needed the HD something or other cable and made a second trip to buy one, it was easy to hook up. I did have to call my cable service guy to walk me through the hookup, the menu and tuning. I am NOT a tech person and none of the alphabet-soup labels on the back of the TV or in the instruction book meant anything to me and therefore the menu was sheer hieroglyphics when I pulled it up. But once I got it up and going, the picture was great, the sound was great. The remote is not too convoluted. Now that I know what plug goes to which hole and which remote (cable box has a separate one) does what, I've labeled everything in non-tech stickies and I'm enjoying the product. It really is like having a giant movie screen in the living room. And the convenience of having the DVD player built in is great; especially since it eliminates more hookups and cables deciphering. This person from the dim side of the digital divide gives the product a big thumbs up on the price and the product.

I came up on this one

Ldeld April 21, 2014

For a very low price, free shipping, no waiting in line, just click, click, click and two days later with a quick assemble I was watching a very beautiful and clear picture. This feature also has a built in dvd player that's easily controlled with the remote now how cool is that.

Great TV/DVD player :)

Missdonnaxo March 5, 2014

Bought this for my daughters room. Her room isn't that big so this was perfect! Great picture and sound quality! She loves to watch movies so the DVD player built in was a must have! The DVD player plays smoothly...have no problems. This is a fantastic tv/dvd player at a great price!

Great TV for extra room

wsws March 17, 2017

We just took this TV out of the box today. Assembly (stand) was quite easy. We are using this just to play movies, or to stream media from computer in an extra room. Despite other reviews, we find the sound quality to be excellent. The only negative about this TV is that the stand seems to be somewhat flimsy but hoping it will be adequate for now.

Great for an extra room

Shari July 1, 2016

The picture is good but not something I would want for my primary TV, The sound is variable sometimes loud then very soft. The DVD player is easy to work even for younger children which is what I bought it for. You get what you pay for and the price made me feel safe to trust it for my grandchildren to have in their playroom.

Disappointed

special1 October 25, 2012

I had my television mounted on the wall in my childrens room. I hooked everything up and when it came down to using the dvd player, it kept ejecting every disk that I put in it. I will be contacting the manufacture about this problem in hopes of rectifying the problem...

Wish I'd bought something else

JgirlNYC December 19, 2012

I thought this would be a great deal instead the sound quality is poor. I mean even at it's max it's really week. The colors at not good at all. Looks like its already beginning to burn out and I've only had it for a month. Would not recommend at all

DEFECTIVE

ConsumerChrissy May 22, 2016

The 32" Sceptre TV I purchased had a DVD player built in. The TV lasted 2 days ... The second day I used the set, after pausing the DVD player to answer a phone call, it broke. The screen went black and all I could hear was the sound. So I had no option but to return the set. After waiting in a 25 minute customer care returns only line, Walmart took the set back - no problem there. I went to the TV department and bought an Emerson 32" with no built in DVD player for about $30 less. The Emerson quality of picture over was not the same at the Sceptre. Sceptre is a much more superior TV however, the reason for my purchase was to get a room ready for guests. I couldn't wait for another on line purchase to arrive. I was bummed the DVD player was defective. I hear that is a common problem and if the DVD player breaks thus goes the television set as well.

The picture quality of the television is poor. The sound quality is HORRIBLE! The is a ongoing weird high pitch frequency that makes you feel as though you are going deaf. I had to lower the television volume and increase the cable volume so that the noise was slightly bearable, doing that of course affects the overall volume. Would not reccomend this product to anyone and I won't be purchasing any Sceptre products ever again!
