I read all the reviews, good and bad about this product before my purchase. I also compared many different brands and models, in and out of the store. I'm a firefighter and did not have a huge budget for this purchase. I must say, I am sorry for all those who had a bad experience with this TV. Out of the box, this TV was perfect, picture and sound. Although I took some of the suggestion for adjusting the picture, I really did not have to adjust anything out of the box. I mounted it to a $19.98 tilting wall mount I purchased with the TV order. It mounted perfectly in a matter of minutes. It's been a month now, no problems. I added the Visio 29" 2 Channel Sound Bar with the order per a reviewers suggestion. I sound is exceptional and can actually get too loud at just about 50% output. Yes, it is not a Samsung UHD, but for $399.00 how much better of a picture do you need? It is crisp, clear and deep, especially when viewing an HD channel or Blu-Ray disc, but is excellent with non-HD channels as well. Remarkably, it has 4 HDMI inputs, something some of the much more expensive brands do not have. So, one for the cable input, one for the DVD player, one for the ROKU and one for the kids WiiU. Most have only three. The kids enjoy the picture with the WiiU. The optical output for the sound bar exceeds expectations. Wal-Mart just had a rollback price for $359.00. I called and they credited me the $40.00 immediately. The VISIO sound-bar was $78.00. I added a 3-Year protection plan for $36.00. So, for under $500.00 I have a awesome home theatre system, that I can add to is I choose for very little money. I highly recommend this package if you are looking to save money and want an exceptional home television experience.
I was very apprehensive about purchasing this TV because I've never heard of the brand name Scepter before. However I'd be an idiot to pass up such a deal on this past B. Friday due to a brand name. So far, I'm in love with this 4k flat screen. The high definition is incredible! Everything is so lifelike, that I feel like I'm in the scene with the actors. Of course only certain channels, movies,
First of all, the price, the cheapest price of any other TV with the same specs, like, 4K Ultra HD 2160p LED. Second, looks: this TV looks amazing, the beveled edges are so slim it's like it has no edges. Third, the quality is absolutely amazing and awesome, the performance is top notch and the picture is so good that you can see every zit, mole and scar on people's faces. I scoured the internet looking for another TV with these specs to see if I could find a better deal, we'll guess what? No go bro, this deal is virtually half the cost of the next best deal, you catch my drift? It cannot be beat, hands down the best bang for your buck. I owned a 50" Sceptre TV before this and when I bought it about 4 or 5 years ago it was a totally unknown brand name, I took a gamble and it paid off big time, but now Sceptre is gaining worldwide notoriety quickly, looks, quality, performance and price. What a deal, $340 including tax and free delivery. That is one awesome TV and deal from Walmart. I couldn't be more satisfied unless it came with a case of beer and snacks. Buy it, you won't regret it. Great Dealio bro.
This is my 2nd Sceptre TV. I still have my first TV.. just wanted another one for my room. I decided to go with sceptre again because I’ve had my first one for almost 4 years and it’s still in great condition in all ways you can think of! Never have had any issues w it and everything is still as perfect as before. Received this one and it came packaged very well and in great condition. Set it up and everything is working perfectly. This one is a newer edition and the quality of picture and audio is great!! Definitely recommend going with this company. I sure will!
We were pleasantly surprised when our 55" 4K TV was received two days early. The setup was simple and we have truly enjoyed the crisp and clear large screen TV. We have played DVDs, streamed movies using my iPhone 5s, and viewed our photos using the USB port. We would highly recommend this Sceptre 55 4K TV to anyone who wants a high quality 55 TV.
This is my second Sceptre TV. First was a 50 inch that I purchased six years ago. Never had an issue with it, in fact we still use it daily in the kids playroom. Just picked up a 55 inch 4K for less money than what I paid for the 50 inch TV 6 years ago, and I thought I got a good deal then. For the price- you cant beat it. I use an Apple TV for both, so I have no need for a smart TV.
Being in the professional Audio/Visual services industry, I was skeptical about buying this TV, I read the reviews and went ahead and ordered it anyway.. The first one that came had a line through the middle of the picture, I returned it to the local WalMart store with ease.. I decided to try it again, and had the second TV shipped to my house. I got it setup and after getting the colors, contrast, color balance, etc dialed in it looks fantastic! For the money this TV is outstanding!! The sound is tinty and sounds terrible.. I bought a Nakamichi Soundbar from Sears for $49 hooked it up and the whole setup looks and sounds great for under $450.. The resolution is amazing at 4K, the 60Hz refresh is a little bit annoying but I can tolerate it for the money I spent. I would recommend this deal.
Description lists this TV as having 4 HDMI ports, it only has 3. The sound is awful, so you will need a soundbar or surround sound. Honestly, those are the only issues I have. For the price, this is an incredible TV. 55" with HDR for under $240. Games look great. Movies look great. Win-win.
Excellent picture -- sharpness, contrast, color fidelity, saturation, black level. That part is highly satisfactory. At its low price, it's got to be the bang-for-buck champ. But about the third day, I turned it on and the bold red 'Sceptre' logo was a pale blue. The screen image was a washed out negative image, and no amount of button pushing or resetting would change it. It finally occurred to me to try flexing the set slightly along the diagonal, and voilà -- it was restored to normal. But now I feel like I need to keep my fingers crossed while watching. In the process I learned that exercising the warranty would require packing the set up in its original packaging and shipping it to California at my expense. The Wal*Mart purchase went flawlessly.
The TV was working fine for the first 5 days. then it just quit, no power. So far, Spectre's customer service has been very hard to get a hold of with the usual run around: no human to answer the phone and their E-mail address rejects written correspondence. Wish me luck.....
