Schlage Be489wb-Cen Encode Wifi Enabled Electronic Keypad Deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this lock but occasionally it has issues and won't lock. I have to pull battery pack which is easy enough but makes me lose a little confidence every time that it will fail when I really need it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the Smart lock. With a busy family and lots of people in and out of the house, this lock gives us security and ease. We can check that the door is locked and love being able to share individualized codes to get in or the ability to lock and unlock remotely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Airbnb integration is the sole reason I got this lock and so far it works like a charm. I love not having to make codes anymore. The app is also easy to use, more so than SmartThings. I wish I could invite people to my Schlage house element in the app

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed an Encode Smart deadbolt and couldn't be happier with it. Its quick responsiveness and reliable connectivity have truly impressed us. We're hopeful that its durability will match its performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a top-of-the-line Wi-Fi deadbolt featuring a longer deadbolt and security plates that prevent drilling screws or tampering. It gives me extra time and an advantage in case of a break-in, allowing me to call for assistance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation is not too difficult. I made sure the deadbolt latches without rubbing or hitting the door frame. Connectivity and responsiveness are good. The overall appearance matches the door style well. Lock looks well made and should work for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The set up was easy but there was no instructions indicating what to do. The lock works and can be controlled from phone, but only worked to set up with one phone out of our house of 5. It is very sturdy and does not seem to be breaking any time soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my Airbnb property. While I had trouble connecting it to my mesh internet system, I was able to connect it to a dedicated router and it’s worked perfect ever since. I have used Yale Assure 2, and while compatible products the battery lasts way longer in the Schlage. I love that it automatically adds and removes codes for me after connecting to Airbnb, making messaging and check-in a breeze. It’s seems like a very secure lock. And looks great too. Would not hesitate to put in all my properties.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being able to use our phones to unlock the door ahead of time is a great time saver and extremely convenient. Not having to worry about dropping keys and having individual codes for people is great. After installation the lock is very solid and fits in the door very nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Schlage Encode Smart WiFi deadbolt provides me exactly what I need, security and peace of mind. I have had it on my front door for over a year now and it still looks great and works perfectly- never shows any fingerprints, which was a fear I had. The app is extremely simple and straightforward. Anyone can understand it. The fact that it has never dropped from my WiFi is amazing, so I know I can dependably check my lock from anywhere. It’s extremely efficient to be able to set temporary passcodes for guest rather than worrying about getting a spare key back. It’s also so much faster being able to input a code instead of digging for keys! The front of the lock has large numbers that are easy to read, and lights up so you can see when it locks. As someone who struggles with grip, replacing the batteries is extremely user friendly and simple. The battery life is good- one thing I will say is that I couldn’t find a rechargeable battery that worked with it, but that may be user error. I’ve had to replace the batteries every four months or so.
