Schlage Camelot Keypad Deadbolt

It's rock solid and feels nice in the hand, you touch it every day, it's worth spending a little but for quality. The mechanism is solid and has a durable feel. Feedback of the push buttons is good, finish and lighted buttons are nice. One of the screws broke off in the door on installation, which was inconvenient. However, the included long screws and oversized strike plates are nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced with the same exact lock after 14 years. Quick and simple to use the keypad, and battery lasts a few years. We never even used the backup key that comes with it. It's nice when you have an emergency or someone you trust to give the 4 number code if you're not at home. Codes can be deleted and changed on the lock pad. Also the keypad buttons light up when you come home in the dark.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a robust deadbolt! Looks great! Operating it is super easy. Just make sure you install the turn shaft correctly. Install cross end shaft into keypad and make sure cam is in up position. Then slide through face plate install battery tighten down. Enter code good to go. Great product and very robust and heavy. Very secure! Will last for years. Battery life good till 2030 volts came in at 9.5 volts on battery provided.

We had a minor problem as the door was not aligned and we had to make a slight adjustment to the dead bolt opening. Key pad is easy to use. However we find using the key is confusing to use. It is hard to get the key out once the door has been or unlocked and we can not figure out what we are doing wrong.

This operates differently, key pad unlocks then you turn the knob to retract. I think this will work fine. Should not have the same issue as the other brands.
