Great taste when it's fresh. It's soft and great for sandwiches. Not so good toasted. It becomes very light and and crummy doesn't hold together with toasting. That being said it's a great sandwich bread using it. Fresh two slices is 90 cal which is great if you're watching your weight.

This is some amazing bread for the fact that it is so low-calorie and doesn't have much stuff in it. This is what my kids eat and I eat it too, and I feel so much better about it.

This bread is great. Soft and fresh and taste just like regular bread. But it is low carb and low calorie! REALLY helps with my weight management, bc it tastes so good!

I am honestly shocked by this bread. I'm a baker and live for bread, but I've been having yeast overgrowth issues for several years and it's heavily impacted my skin, hair, body, etc. so I've decided to go low carb and cut as much sugar from my diet as possible. I've been sad about this because I can't eat my bread and baked goods (or at least no where near as much as I'd like to, especially with the holidays) so I got this as an alternative. Honestly I wasn't expecting much and definitely wasn't expecting it to live up to my standards. But it's delicious!!! I'm so surprised. It tastes exactly the same as regular bread, and even has the same smell, appearance, texture, etc. it's good enough that I can eat it plain as toast, and that's saying something, because I'm very picky about bread. It's light, fluffy, delicious, and the texture and taste are identical to regular store bought breads. It also doesn't leave a weird aftertaste, which is very important to me. I highly recommend this, I've already recommended it to multiple people who want less calories and carbs in their diet. I never write reviews for anything but this honestly shocked me

This is, by far, the very best lower carb bread. It taste and feels like their regular Italian bread. Everyone in my family loves this bread, including the kids.

Unlike other brands, Schmidt's Old Tyme 647 bread doesn't lower calories or carbs by making the bread smaller or less filling. This is the same full size pieces of bread you're used to. My favorite of the bunch is the Italian bread. It's absolutely perfect for sandwiches and great for toasting. At 40 calories and only 6 net carbs a slice, Old Tyme has made bread that even people like me can enjoy!

This bread tastes great but within a few days of purchasing I find mold. That's even with refrigeration. Out of 6 different loaves, 5 have been moldy.
