[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ​Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) ​I used up the Schumacher Rugged 2A Charger/Maintainer to keep my motorcycle battery alive during the off-season, and so far, it's been excellent. ​What I Like: ​Super Versatile: I love that it automatically detects 6V vs. 12V and works with pretty much any battery type—AGM, Standard, and even Lithium (LiFePO4), which is rare for chargers at this price point. ​Built Like a Tank: The "Rugged" branding isn't just marketing. The IP66 rating means it handles dust and the occasional splash in my garage without an issue. ​Set It and Forget It: As a maintainer, it handles the trickle charge perfectly without any risk of overcharging. The LED indicators are straightforward and easy to read. ​Minor Downsides: ​It's Slow: Keep in mind this is a 2A maintainer, not a fast charger. If you have a completely dead car battery, it will take a day or two to fully juice it up. ​Bottom Line: If you need to revive a dead truck battery in 20 minutes, look elsewhere. It's very easy to use, understand how to use, and to know if my battery is charged, charging, or off. The actual reader is easy to understand and is a good light weight I can leave on my car and now worry while it's charging. Overall a very good trickle charger I plan on using for a while

It's so easy to store and it's so small that's I can store in my inner console . This thing is so powerful. It also water resistant so in case it raining and you use it , it doesn't damage it. I have used it on my son's oldies car, lawnmower, bike and its very powerful and charges batteries super fast. It will stop when it reaches 100% , no overheating. I had some battery issue and needed a jump to get it going before I could go home. Took about 10 mins to charge enough to get me home. Small enough to fit in your car, and holds a charge thank goodness! I haven't used it again since but it powered on today with no trouble.

I also liked that it included a hook hanger accessory which made it it convenient to keep the charger off the ground while in use. On the downside, it took a little while to fully charge my battery, the alligator clips are fairly small and a little difficult to attach to the battery leads, and the wall power cord is too short, limiting where you can use it without an extension cord.
