"Modern" Fancy Electronic Chargers will NOT charge deeply discharged batteries. This charger does not care how deeply discharged the battery is, this charger will try to charge it. That is why it has a timer. You should get a good multimeter such as Klein Tools MM400 600V Auto-Ranging Digital Multimeter available on Walmart for less than a new car battery to test the battery charge. You should disconnect both battery terminals before charging since most modern automobiles have sensitive electronic equipment/features. This charger will do the job and will be available for the future in the rare case that your battery is unrecoverable.
The Schumacher Wheeled Manual Battery Charger/Engine Starter 612 Volt 102040200 Amp Model SC1446 works very well. I have used the charge, works well. I have used the Engine Start which also works well.
As close to old school that you're going to find,most incorporate a micro processor that goes into a safe mode too often.
Very sturdy . Good for industrial or of course farm use.. simple controls . Time and current amperage level. Out of the box works.

had to find where the bolt went to ..charger smashed on lower right side and the box was smashed and had rips and holes. fed ex sucks and the bolt went to left back leg..
This is the second one of these battery chargers I have ordered one from Walmart one Summit racing both did not work won't turn on or anything else.
