Schwinn Classic Coal Krate, 20-Inch Wheel, Single Speed, Black

I have to say, I am loving this bike! Very faithful to the classic Schwinn Krates. The quality is just fine. I didn't change a thing except to put on some cool valve stem caps. Just as much fun to ride as in the old days. Every time we ride, people approach to compliment and talk bikes.

Great alternative to spending 3000-4000k on a vintage one

Those banana seats are the best—super comfortable—much better than the hard bit of torture most bikes come with now. I rode a bike similar to this everywhere. It was fast, easy to control, never worried about balance or falling. Great on most surfaces but I road on small city streets. Very good first bike and I personally prefer this “Stingray” type of bike to any other I've owned (except the TerraTrike Rover but that is more difficult to transport and store).

I had the first model of this bike. Lemon Peeler. At the time it had no front fender, but had a 5 speed shifter. Coolest bike I ever owned!!! I will be buying one soon. I'm 64 years old. Lol!!!

Needs a bar between the hand bars sissy bar old school needs to be 2 feet taller, disk brakes rear, make 10-12 speed, chopper forks with bigger front tire, where to buy new Schwinn tires, ECT

It's unfortunate that Schwinn doesn't care about its product or its customers. We have ordered two Krate bikes from Schwinn. Both arrived with holes in the box (which can happen during shipping, of course) and pieces missing because some of the parts are packed in a box and some are thrown willy nilly into the bottom of the box. In both cases we had to go to the hardware store and try to find the missing pieces to buy. I contacted Schwinn twice. They haven't bothered to reply. To customers, I would suggest shopping elsewhere. To Schwinn, I would suggest firing your entire management team and starting over again.

This bike price was inflated because of holiday time. I was going to buy this bike 3 months ago and it was 632.00. Garbage! This isn't a vintage 1968 original. You can buy a bike with a motor for this price. Find another sucker!
