I use my elliptical daily and I love it. It's smooth and was easy to put together. I saw all the pieces and kinda freaked out but it was really easy to set up as long as you follow the instructions. A couple of pieces need two people but that wasn't a problem. It's not as heavy as I thought, it's easy to move from room to room. I love that it has a fan and an app to keep track of my workouts, plus it connects to my google fit. I'm very happy I made this purchase.
You never know what you're going to get when you order online. With the COVID-1 pandemic, we have been unable to workout at all, so I started looking for elipticals online. We use to have a nice stationary bike, but it hurt to sit on, so we gave it away many years ago. Review looked good, and the price was reasonable (under $1k), so I crossed my fingers and pressed "Confirm Order." When it arrived a little over a week later, my son and I put it together in about 2 hours. It was fairly simple. Once finished, I was happy to find it was super sturdy (the thing weighs 350 lbs!), and is super quiet! The controls are easy to use. It's not quite what you would use at a fitness center, but it's as nice as it gets for a home use device, and it didn't cost $5k! We use it all the time. It's keeping us in good shape, and we're getting cardio we wouldn't otherwise be getting. We'll definitely use this even when the pandemic is over! ....and we're thinking about stopping our gym membership! Solid 5 star rating for our family! -WJB
My husband purchased this for my Christmas present. Yes, I requested it before folks get upset about a husband buying a piece of exercise equipment for his wife. It has been added to my home gym along with my Airdyne bike. I love them both. I alternate days of use between the two and also do free weights and kettlebells in between a few days a week. I love this piece of equipment and it will assist in obtaining my health and fitness goals.
Setup was a breeze and only took a couple of hours. I appreciated how everything was labeled and the step-by-step installation guide was spot on. This is my first elliptical and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
#sweepstakes My only cons are the following: The fan is very weak, Bluetooth is only for the app and not for wireless music playback, and the heart rate monitor is very low. The machine feels like it was designed for someone about 5' 6"... I am 5'11" and it works fine, but the controls are a little low.
I bought this model because I previously had a model 403 for about 12 years. Except for a display replacement it worked flawlessly over that time. But the program options were primitive and limited. So since the Schwinn seemed to be mechanically sound, I decided to get a newer model with the advanced programing. This has proven to be a good decision as the programs and incline option give a much better challenge. Only complaint is the various ticks and little mechanical noises that come and go with the rotation of the flywheel. Minor quibble but annoying nonetheless.
My wife and I both use the machine and really like the stride length and pre programmed workouts. I wish Schwinn had a better app than explore the world. The Bluetooth is only to sync to the app and the inputs for music are aux cord only. It works great and tracks in my Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. Easy to use, great programs, and very sturdy
I use this about every morning and it's quiet enough that it doesn't wake up my wife or small children. it provides an effective workout and the explore the world app is fun to use.
I use my elliptical every other day for one hour. I had a Nordic Track that I used so much I wore the machine out. It is a hard adjustment using this machine. I work out the same amount of time but burn half the calories and the workout is much more difficult. But I am committed to making this work for me. Just having a hard time with adjusting to this machine.
I've been using it for 10 months and, due to the forward slope of the foot peddles, I now have metatarsalgia (started about 3 months ago). It started squeaking about a month ago and nothing will stop the high-pitched sound. It's very irritating. I want to return this machine and get one that is quieter with a more balanced/flat foot peddle.
