Much nicer than the 2019 version as we have dual disc brakes. Paint is shiny and the green paint shows up better! Looking forward to turning it into an e-gravel bike. That being said, the brifters are totally Mickey! They do work and I’ve dialed the shifting for all 3 rings, but they will be replace and upgraded. If you are between 5’6” and 6’ this steel snake by Schwinn is worth 200
Pros. Steel frame very heavy duty. Cons. The seat is garbage. I bought a better one so no big deal. Overall. So far so good. I'm 5ft 11 and 240 lbs. I get tired easy but it's probably because I am fat. Time will tell the overall durability. I got 2 year extended plan. So I'm not to worried about any future problems.
Purchased for my grandson. He loves it. Very sturdy, beautiful colors and quality bike for the price.
It is a nice bike it is not a beginner bike get a cheaper one to find out if you or your kids like mountain bikes over all really good
I think it's not a bad bike for the price and for my needs but it is not a well made bicycle. You do get what you pay for.
had this bike leas than 3 months and pedal stripped right off today...had to walk home...ive only rode it maybe an hour total...still have time to return for a refund but not sure if i should contact Schwinn or what :/
Really bummed that this didn't work out better. I worked at a bike shop years ago and knew that a $200 bike would have its problems, I just wasn't ready for it to be this bad. Assembly was easy; however almost everything needed to be adjusted and there were parts that were bent during shipping. My problems are as follows: - Rear Derailleur was bent and no matter what adjustment I made I could not overcome the alignment issues. These alignment issues caused shifting to miss gears, not get into the lowest or highest gear, and try to change gears when it shouldn't. - Head tub and front fork are very loose; this causes the the front to shift around and is not very sturdy. Using the bike without fixing this is dangerous. - Front and rear disk brakes needed adjustment to center and get to functioning correctly. - Several bike spokes were bent. - Cable ends have a cap to keep them from fraying; however, these silver caps don't stay on and will allow the cables to unwind and fray.
This review has nothing to do with Walmart. It has to do with the crappy company that the bike came from. I bought this on Walmarts website and it was brand new in the box. Upon assembling it we found out the manufacturer put the bikes brake cables on the wrong side of the handle bars. It was twisted around and no way to get it back into place so we had to disassemble some piece to get it where it needed to be. Then after riding a few times it has a popping feeling in the pedals. Also the back sprockets are bent or misaligned. What a waste of money… thanks for nothing Schwann
The front is welded so poorly that the tire literally cannot fit and is off by several inches. Had to return. Incredibly poor quality control.
Not even 3 months into having this bike the the crank shaft stripped out. Sad I spent the extra money on a Schwann.
