Schwinn Sidewinder Mountain Bike, 26-inch wheels, black

This was such a great purchase! It arrived on time, partially disassembled and only took 30 mins to put together and I have no experience with these things. You can put it together yourself or with someone to help, and a lot of the instructions in the book are for older model bikes, you won't use every hack in the book. Everything was clean and brand new, and it's holding up well after 2 rides (no wobbling / squeaking). The brakes are also top-of-the-line. If something isn't perfect, making adjustments is easy. I'm 5'2” and it fits me perfectly at the lowest seat setting. Would recommend.

Blue color of the bicycle is a little darker in real life versus photos shown on the website. I really wanted to like the bike due to the short supply of bicycles at this time, but the rear derailleur kept hitting into the spokes if shifted to the lowest gear. Possible it was just a bad POWER brand derailleur or derailleur was damaged in shipping.

Well, I'm sure it's going to be a great bike but I'm still feeling unhappy about the condition of the bike when it arrived today. There are scrapes

I bought 2 Schwinn bikes to ride with my son and so far I am utterly disappointed. Except for Walmart's fast shipping and and my son's excitement while unboxing a beautiful Schwinn bike, I couldn't get myself to ride this bike past day 2. It makes noises while riding and the derailleurs fail to work as intended in both bikes. The rear derailleur either skips gears, fails to shift or stays in place only at 3 out of the 7 gears. In the front, getting a transition betwen the 3 plates seems impossible despite multiple attempts to tune the front derailleur as per instructions. I have had a bike at every stage of my life and less established brands have given me more joy.

The bike was delivered with messed up fork. The weld is incorrect and prevents proper assembly. This should have been caught by any amount of quality control. We can't get the replacement part. We can't get it exchanged. We can't find a similar bike.

I was so excited to finally buy myself a new bike. I haven't bought one since I was a kid and have been riding a huffy given to us by a friend over 5yrs ago. It came Friday, we had just got home from vacation so didn't get around to putting it together until today, went through all the instructions and followed each step. Finally took it for a test ride, not even half a block and the rear derailer broke to the point it bent the part of the frame that holds it and the derailer itself was bent out of whack. My husband tried his best to put it back together but it's not repairable. I'm so frustrated and upset, I don't think I'll buy another Schwinn bike again.

Poor construction of rims - spokes pop through thin metal of rims - happened on replacement bike too. Extremely difficult to return to Walmart.com because it needs to be packed back into a box for shipping.

The bike came defective. We even took it to a bike shop for them to try and fix it and they said the part was bad. We then tried to take it back to Walmart and they told us the bike needed to be in a box to return it. We find a bike box and bring it back to Walmart for them to tell us they can't ship it back. I've tried to contact the third party vendor and they aren't open on the weekends. This has been a terrible experience!

Bought this bike in June of 2022, tried a few times to ride but it kept having issues with the shifters being hard to press (cable tension is awful on this bike), the gears do not shift and if they do it clunks and clanks down the street, and lastly the chain would not stay on the spokes leaving me to have to walk home and put it back on. I gave up until May of 2023 and attempted to adjust the derailleurs both front and back along with the low limit screws and cable tension. 4 hours later and this bike is the worst thing i've ever bought. I followed the manuals instructions to the letter along with helpful videos from Sierra Trading Post %26 REI but now the bike no longer shifts at all. My local bike shop refuses to work on Schwann bikes due to the poor quality so I am stuck with a broken coat rack for a bike. DO NOT BUY

Chain broke on the very first ride!! Miserable experience. Got stranded in a middle of a forest trail. Wouldn't recommend this bike due to poor quality.
