Schwinn Thrasher Mountain Bike, 20" Wheels, 7 Speed, Red

This is a great first mountain bike for your kiddo. It's easy to put together, and shifts with ease. It's built well and will help progress your child from single speed, to doing more advanced terrain.

The bike was easy to assemble. I love the bright color because it makes it easy to see. Looks a little smaller than described. I have to adjust the derailleur because it isn't shifting into 1st and 7th gear, but it should be pretty easy to adjust.

Probably the best deal on a beginner mountain bike for a kid in third or fourth grade that I have found, especially for the deal. I got on Black Friday! It's beautiful, it rides nice, it was super easy to assemble. I enjoy the simplicity of gears only on one handle. Not too complex for a kiddo. I went ahead and got the warranty, which I hope I don't need but can be very handy for a kids bike. Also, I just like having the Schwinn name instead of some random big box brand.

Great build on this bike, the wheels and the brakes are top notch. The only thing missing on the bike is a kickstand. At this price point, I really feel Schwinn should have included it. Very nice to have a 7 speed on a 20 inch bike. My son loves it!

The assembly instructions aren't very clear o. this specific product, for instance, the quivk release front tire assembly option was after the attached front wheel assembly page and I spent a good 30 minutes trying to attach the wheel that way before figuring out it wasnt the right instructions. Also the front brake attachment was difficult to understand how to get them to work. On a side note, this bike didn't come with a kickstand, which is pretty standand in bikes these days so now I'm having to go out and buy a separate kickstand. Overall the bike feels like it's a heavyduty bike and the color is great!

A bit smaller than we were expecting for a mountain bike, but good quality

THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS LEFT SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED. This is either the 4th or 5th Schwinn bicycle purchased. The previous ones were easy to assemble. This one was more complex with brake cables and gear change cable. I had to take pictures of your little pictures to blow them up so I could determine how to untwist and align the cables while properly installing the front wheel. And I am a degreed Mechanical Engineer so it should have been really easy but it wasn't!

Bike came without pedals and without the pin to connect the front tire. Emailed seller but have yet to hear back. Would have been a great bike otherwise. Hoping to get the replacement parts so I don't have to return since this was for Christmas and thankfully my son didn't notice the missing pedals yet 😒
