Just the right size for leftover casserole
I received a free sample of Ziploc Large Rectangle 2.25 Qt. to review. One container was large enough to hold a half dozen cupcakes, the other container I used for leftovers. The one press seal (button on top) made for easy closing. They are stackable (they look like giant Legos) which makes them great space savers for the fridge or in a cabinets. They are dishwasher and microwave safe- YAY! Loved em!
I needed something to freeze our bumper crop of fresh tomatoes after we picked so many at once. We crushed and cooked them, and froze them in these Ziploc containers. Perfect! East to label, stack, freeze and pull them out as needed. Thank you Ziploc!
I have loved Ziploc products for as long as I can remember.. Ziploc Bags and Ziploc Containers. These large Rectangle containers are a "must buy" There are so many uses for them beyond food storage. They are great for organizing all kinds of items. They are sturdy and well worth the cost.
These rectangular Ziploc containers are a perfect addition to my other Ziploc products. I did not realize that I was missing this size for items such as sliced meats or a left-over casserole transfered from a 9 X 13 baking pan. Just perfect! Fits nicely in the refrigerator as well, not too high for the shelves.
These containers are a nice addition to my already large collection of Ziploc reusable containers. The rectangular shape make them easier to store and fit in my cupboards and the size is just right. Larger than the square containers but not gigantic either. They're just the right size for storing cookies, school supplies, and a variety of other things.
I received a free set of these containers to try out. They seal well. I don't know if I would purchase them myself in the future only because I have had a difficult time thinking of ways to use them. We don't have enough left overs for a container this size. I am using them to store some of the kids art supplies in, but I do not need to many in this size. I think they would be great if we could use them, and am sure other families would need this size container.
I'm very displeased with this new design over the older model this new one replaced. This container is smaller and cost more that the old model. I have ALOT of the old model containers and would love to have ALOT MORE of them, however I don't plan to purchase the smaller model. I have no problem with spending my $$$ on something that works for me and when you changed the model, I tried one for what I use them for and no go, so I quit spending my $$$ on Ziploc.......bring back the older model large rectangle container, and I would be happy to spend my $$$ on Ziploc containers again.
I thought I was purchasing something I could rely on. Imagine my disappointment when on the first use, my husband removed the container from the fridge and the tab corner of the lid snapped right off. I have one container from my original purchase many, many years ago. The tab on the lid is slowly tearing off. It has been half off for the last 4 years and is still useable. Something has changed and I am not inclined to keep Ziploc as my go to choice for containers like this. :(
