Scosche Double/Single DIN w/ Pocket Dash Kit Comp w/ ‘95-‘16 Ford/Lincoln/Mazda/Mercury Cars & Trucks FD3090

i needed a cheap install kit for a complete custom stereo install for my 01 mustang. while this will fit a double din, 2 single dins or a single din . i modded it to fit a single din stereo and a 1/2 din eq. was the only kit around that i could do this with. it fits mustangs if you want a good looking kit if you don't have a trim ring for your deck since it doesn't require one . the stereo slips in behind the ring so it looks like a clean install.

Worked and fit excellent. If you have to trim factory ring do it a ltitle at a time fir a better fit.

This product works nicely with the iPad it's like have a mini laptop

The kit was very easy to use and the instructions were very easy to follow. I had to trim off some parts of the mounting pieces to get them into the stereo opening but that is expected with a universal kit. If you are installing an aftermarket stereo I would pick up one of these, it will make things a lot easier. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I was sent the wrong parts and was unable to install and now the return process is a lengthy one still waiting on my parts to arrive.

for me ir was not any good. when assembled. the little carry box for under the radio was 4.5 inches too short and i could not use it. so i just left it out until i can find one that does fit.

This is not about the Scosche FD 3090 because in the Walmart description it was listed as being appropriate for the Ford Ranger. After receiving the radio and install kit and finding the kit did not work, I saw that for Rangers we are to use the FD 3080... So now I have damaged the 3090 kit, talked to the tech support who didn't know anything about my kit instructions (I sent pictures of the front page of the kit instructions but have not heard back) so guess I'll have to cobble it together... working on my second week of part time efforts at getting this stuff working. Take away is check with Scosche before buying. Other than this probably rare issue, their stuff seems ok.

Did not fit for my vehicle. It's supposed to be for my vehicle but it did not work. It was a cheap product. I had to take my whole dash apart to try and make it work but was unable to get it to fit. Had to buy another kit to instal. Threw this one away as it was already used to try and install.

I purchased this kit to install a Single DIN radio (Dual XD260) into my 2001 Ford Ranger. The directions were pretty confusing to begin with, but I still messed around with it for 2 hours or so before coming to the conclusion that it wasn't going to fit. I was extremely frustrated, but I cooled off, and a couple days later I called Schosche Tech Support, as I've seen suggested on here. I spoke with Eric, and he had such a nasty attitude. He was extremely condescending, insisting that the kit would fit my vehicle, and that I was obviously reading the directions incorrectly. Maybe he was just having a bad day, or maybe he has answered hundreds of the same calls due to the poor quality of Scoshe's instruction manuals. Either way, he wasn't helpful. I will get the radio in my truck eventually, but I'll do my best to steer clear of this company.
