Having used a different brand and changing to this the difference was noticeable. No peeling and sticks well. The tape is thicker so when it inadvertently sticks back to the roll, it's easy to find and lift again without shredding or aggregation. I have been using this for packing boxes.

Scotch brand tape is the best quality choice for shipping, and this Box Lock tape of theirs is excellent! It's thick and sticks great, and it's basically noiseless. So, I have been using the Heavy Duty type, but this one is even better, and quiet too.

I regularly buy this for my eBay store business. This is the only brand and type of tape I trust for consistent reliability in adhering to my boxes so they stay closed and secure for their journey to their destinations. Other types (even Scotch heavy duty) seem to be more prone to peeling off. With Scotch Box Lock (red label!) I know my packages will arrive without breakage due to the tape I use.

I always specify this tape when I need packing tape that I know will hold and not break when using my dispenser.

The tape is thicker than the rest and the glue sticks really well on all boxes.

I'm moving 800 miles and need a tape that will hold up to heavy loads and extreme temperature changes. This tape has done that!

Today is 24 June 2026. In the past, Scotch Box Lock did not grip cardboard very well. I tried the product again. It seems that the product has been improved. This time, it seems to do very well at gripping cardboard. It's very thick and strong. It grips itself very well so one wrap around a carton overlapping itself makes a strong girdle for the container.
