Scotch® Contractor Grade Masking Tape 2020-36AP, 1.41 in

I had never used this tape before, I usually use regular tan masking tape for my purpose. This contactor grade masking tape was a backup choice in my online order. I was not expecting to see orange tape in my bag, but that has made no difference in the performance of the tape. I have been pleased, so far. I use it on a cardboard surface and it tears well, is holding strong still sticking after 24 hours and not peeling off like some of the other masking tapes do. The rolls are a decent size for the price. I would recommend this tape for your masking tape needs, it is heavy duty yet good for any masking tape application.

When no longer in use it easily is removed from the wall and does not leave behind a residue. I would recommend this product to anyone looks for a great masking tape! It gets the job done.

I have used this tape for painting and on my Cricut mats to hold heavy materials for cutting. It holds well and leave no residue behind, nor does it tear the material being cut. There was no bleeding when I used some on a painting project. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I received this product free to tryout and review. I used this tape to mask off my carpet while painting my baseboards. It stayed put on the carpet making a nice and neat paint job. When I was done, the tape was very easy to remove. I was also very pleased that the masking tape would easily pull away from the roll without splitting or tearing until I was ready to tear it off. Masking tape can sometimes be too cheap to use, but this performed as it should. I came off the roll easily, stuck well and came off easily when the project was done.

I got this as a sample to try. It is not painters tape. It has a high tack and is very sticky. It can be used on anything that can not be damaged by any tape. It will remove paper off drywall, paint of previous painted surfaces, and veneer. It can be used on solid surfaces as painters tape. Holding power is strong so it can be used for assemblies where clamping won't work. Basically a high tack masking tape. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I own a painting business. Been doing it for 13 years now. This tape is hit and miss. I used the 1, 1.5, and 2 inch sizes. I normally order this stuff by the case. Lately it seem like a lot of them are slivering. After about 5 minutes I just give up and throw the roll away. Ive seen that if it slivers once, it will continue throughout the whole roll. And some of the rolls will leave just some adhesive behind after just 1 day. I'm talking about interior jobs. Certainly not a 3 day clean removal. Overall the tape is just barely decent. Hit and miss on quality for sure.

I am so frustrated....I've pulled half this roll off trying to get ONE SINGLE COMPLETE PIECE....It keeps coming off in small triangular pieces that I've had to throw away..... Total waste of money...I'm an artist. I use tape all the time.This is terrible tape
