I brought this thinking it would make a change from the boring tan tape I usually use on packaging. It is great stuff, easy to rip with your hands, comes in great colours, looks amazing and easy enough for the kids to use. I also like to wrap gifts in plain kraft paper then use this instead of ribbon, it looks so cute. I wouldnt be without a roll of this tape in the house.
I actually brought this for scrapbooking but also used it on my daughters school books as well and got a lot of great comments from her school mates. Its a very versatile tape.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This decorative tape has a slightly glossy finish and is really easy to use in projects. The tape is thick enough to be sturdy but still slightly sheer, so if you use it on high contrast things, the underlying patterns will show. I think it's best on a solid color background but you may like the shadow effect. Until it's burnished down, it can be moved to get the placement just right. Once it's burnished down, it sticks very well. What I like best about it is that it's easy to write on. The finish won't cause inks or paints to bead up. A permanent marker used on this tape doesn't smudge. I like it for crafts, but a few strips put on waxed paper or parchment with a marker make an excellent way to mark drink glasses as well. It comes off the glass easily. My own favorites are the comic book effect one and the faux bois green.
Talk about Expressions! I was really expressing myself when I used Scotch's New Expressions Tape. The different patterns printed on the tape were so cool. It is unique and it stands out-as if to say, 'look at me, how snazzy am I for a package?'. I got a lot of complements on my mother's birthday package to say the least and last but definitely not the least, Scotch's New Expressions Tape is still just as durable as the original tape we all came to love many years ago. So you can depend on it for durability with an added bonus of looking adorable with the assortment of different colors and prints that Scotch Expressions Tape offers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of Washi tape from Scotch. While I have a lot of Washi tape and several from Scotch, the one sample that I received it won't come off of the roll at all, it tears in a layer leaving such a fine layer that you can't remove it, the few instances that I could remove the layer, didn't prove to make a difference. Now the other's Scotch brand one's that I have are fine, it's just this one particular roll.
Scotch Washi Tape EXpression ...POOR POOR Product, I have boxes of this stuff, I can NOT use because the tape and glue is CRAP .. So sad, such a huge investment is LOST ... I have tape of other brands and kinds that lasted for YEARs .. not this J U N K ! Glue sticks to wrong side of TAPE .. Unusable
Such a pity that Scotch brand Washi Tape is made from synthetic and is acrylic. Washi is by its name known for being made from natural fibres. I would prefer to use proper Washi tape. This one is Washi in name only, making use of the name and the tape's reputation of being biodegradable.. I would not recommend this.
Bought three small glitter rolls this am. Went to use them to identify black flashlights to make them easier to find at night. Tape would not stick to the plastic or metal flashlights. Could not use it. Thought maybe I was doing something wrong, maybe it has to be wet? Anyway, a waste of money, and time.
I really love the color geometric pattern of this wide version of washi tape and couldn't wait to use it for art journaling; however, it refuses to unroll smoothly. It tears off in tiny shreds, or, if by some miracle I get a larger piece pulled off the roll, it tears down the middle. I do not have this problem with the thinner width, only the wider width.
This is not at all functional! I bought some thin, glittery silver tape today for my daughter's Valentine box. I thought it'd be perfect to help keep the wrapping on and decorate at the same time. It does not stick at all, and keeps coming undone. My daughter is so disappointed, and I'm upset I wasted the money on this dysfunctional product.
