Great little dispenser once you come to this site and find out how to change tapes. Frustrating before that.

Agree with prior reviewer, I found out how to refill on this site. The package should have had the simple instructions on it. If you don't know, you just pop out the white part by simply squeezing the white part closest to the cutting teeth & it pops up to change to a new roll.

I bought this the other day because I love the color and its smaller than the antique one I have. The only down side I could say is that I almost broke it trying to get the spool out to put the tape in!! There were NO DIRECTIONS on how to do it. I had no idea it was swing out and after fiddling with it for a while tried to yank it out from the other (turns out) wrong side. I only read about it being a swing out here.

This item is fine but for the fact that it is terribly lightweight.

Agree with others here--couldn't figure out how to open until I came to this site, and then learned only by reading another review!! Of course future packaging should include instructions, as there should be a simple "squeeze here" note on the dispenser. And this website should include specific instructions so we're not relying on reading the reviews of others to figure out how to make it work. Can't recommend because future users will likely throw it out in frustration before they visit this website to figure it out.

I too had to come to the site to see how to open. I had to open it when I first got it because the roll of tape was put in backwards (it pulled to the back not the front). After reading the comments I figured you could squeeze the front white piece to flip it up. Apparently You have not paid attention to previous reviews in instructions on how to open since some of those reviews are over 2 years old.

The dispenser lacks the weight to hold itself down while you pull the amount of tape off. You have to use two hands to get the tape, then the cutter refuses to cut the tape. Again you need two hands and you have to pick it up to get the tape out then you get three times what you want because the cutter blade is set too low. It's impossible to use one hand to hold the paper on your gift while doing your best to get tape. Instead of an inch, you get six inches of waded up mess. I am surprised that a company like Scotch Tape would put out such a worthless product. You can tell by my grammar how ticked off I am.

The part that you're supposed to cut the tape on isn't actually sharp enough to cut the tape, and even if it was it's not pointed in the right direction.And also I ordered a pink one.And was sent a teal colored one.Not happy at all

I bought this tape dispenser and have regretted it ever since! Why they make a product that was this difficult to reload. This was a disappointment. Scraped and scratched up my hands trying to change the tape....I would not recommend this product to anyone else. Especially not a teacher who needs and uses tape throughout the day....
