I agree wholeheartedly with the other crafters regarding the precision tip, it is not fine enough. One product I buy offers a metal fine tip which is put on the end of the bottle, This is important when doing fine work, so as not to waste glue but more to make sure it does not run all over. I have not had the old style tip but it seems you have enough requests for making an extra fine tip. Not all crafters will write to you be we all talk to each other and Art Glitter glue is fast becoming the glue of choice. Please hear our requests. The glue is great the tip is not.
I cannot think of a single negative thing - only positive! This glue dries fast, and it dries clear. Once this adhesive is dry it is a permanent bond, there is some play time, just seconds where u can pull it off and reposition it but not much more than 5 seconds. This is the first glue I purchased when I began crafting because it was a brand I knew and trusted, I have tried a few others for the same purpose but none compare, this glue is a must have for any paper crafter! If you make mini albums with pockets (think Kathy Orta paper bag albums) you need this glue for the pockets, once u use it you will never try atg or another wet adhesive again. This is the greatest glue on the market. I find the new glue tip and cap to be unacceptable, though...it used to stand on it's lid upside down and had such a fine point for gluing. Please, please, please go back to the original cap and point! Your valued customers will thank you for it!
I do a lot of "professional" paper crafting & this is simply the best glue I've ever used. Unfortunately the bottle & formula have changed & now it is not the product I want. The previous bottle could be stored on its lid & I could cap & uncap it with 1 hand as I worked ( the glue always being in the fine line chamber & ready to go - no clogs this way) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE 3M ~ bring back the original!!!!
Please bring back the Quick-Dry Adhesive glue (not the Tacky glue). I use this Quick-Dry Adhesive glue on my quilling projects. This requires small strips of paper and the tacky glue is too stringy and not as good. Other glue is too watery for the paper. I've been looking everywhere for any bottles of the (NON-Tacky) glue by Scotch and can't find it. If you have any left I'd love to buy it. Please!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down the best glue for paper crafters! I was disappointed though that the tip and lid were changed. The old tip had a fine tip and a lid that would hold the bottle upside down. The newer tip is one you cut off and is a much larger hole, so not conducive to detail work. Also, it has a tiny cap and cannot be stood on the lid, keeping glue at the ready. I have read numerous paper crafting threads about this and I'm not sure how many users actually have contacted Scotch about reverting back to the old style lid for this product, however it is certainly something everyone seems to want. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD STYLE LID! Your loyal customers will thank you!
I make greeting cards and this is the best adhesive I have found. I do have a problem, though. I recently bought a new bottle of this glue and found that a new cover is being used. The tip on the new cap is not as narrow as the original cap. When I went to use it, a big glob of glue came out instead of the this stead stream that came out of the old cap. This is not good when using on paper. The card I was making wrinlked because so much came out. I know there was problems with the old cap clogging up, but I never had that problem. I will use this up because I like the glue and I don't want to waste it, but I might be looking at other tacky glues. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
As a designer and educator I used the Quick Dry glue daily. I am so disappointed the in change on the bottle as well as the new formula of the glue itself. It's not the same at all. I will have to now find an alternative for my daily crafting as well as new glue to recommend to all of my students.
I'm having the same issue with the tip that many others are having. Although the package says Precision Tip, it's no longer precise. It's no more precise than a child's bottle of school glue. It was clearly evident when my old bottle ran out and I had to begin using my new bottle in the middle of a project. I ended up with a big mess on my hands! My solution has been to transfer the new glue to the old bottle, but that results in waste, and not everyone has an old bottle. Please give us our old tip back!
Don't like new tacky glue at all. I can't understand why you would get rid of Quick-Dry Adhesive. Also would like the old bottle back with red tip. There have been so many negative reviews since you changed lid and glue that I was hoping someone at Scotch would notice. It is on plenty of websites as well. I don't know where to post this except that the glue is listed on your website.
