This utility knife was little more expensive than the other brands available on Jet but this one is sturdy and it works well. What i really like about this product is the black rubber strips on both sides; these will give you good grip and it won't slip out of your hand easily! Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recycle cardboard in my neighborhood. Every 2 weeks I must cut up my cardboard so that it is manageable. This knife glides through my thickest boxes turning them into a perfect stack of cardboard. I been cutting away with the same blade for over 90 pieces! Try it yourself, it's gonna help save the planet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful Utility Knife! The size is comfortable to hold. It's thin, but not so narrow that it's difficult to grip. It's also a nice length so that it feels balanced and secure but is small enough to store just about anywhere. It's similar to the size of a marker or fat pen. The mechanism to slide the blade in and out operates very smoothly and each extension of length locks into place securely. The blade is scored so you snap off a measured piece to provide a fresh new blade. This is handy because the extra blades are stored in the unit and you never have to go looking for them. An excellent, quality product that performs exceptionally well.
We have been using this to cut stencils for a water bottle we are using as a fundraiser. The blade stays sharp for a long time and overall it feels very comfortable even after long use. See the picture for an example. Only issue is that it is a bit difficult to break off each piece. The tool to snap off the blade pieces is a bit hard to remove and you have to use quite a bit of force to break the tip off.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very sturdy knife that always remains sharp. When the blade dulls you just snap off the dull blade and there is a new sharp blade ready. This knife has a good feel of a quality product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Titanium Utility Knife to try and I absolutely love it! The grip on the side make it so it doesn't slip out of my hands while I'm using it, which is nice when you're opening up numerous boxes. The blade is nice and stiff so it doesn't snap off until you're ready to snap it to get a sharp new blade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this knife for free, but would purchase it. The day it came, I had a large box to take care of and it took no time at all with this knife. This is an easy to handle, efficient knife and a joy to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product for many of my craft projects and have found that the blade is sharp and allows for very precise cuts, the button/sliding mechanism works great and is smooth and the overall shape and design of the plastic that holds the blade allows for an easy but sturdy grip that allows me to feel in control and confident of what I'm cutting. With the amount of pressure you sometimes have to apply when using this, it has been important to me that the entire product feels secure and sturdy, I don't feel like it's going to slip or break in my hand.
CONVENIENT LITTLE CUTTER FOR BOXES
I love using the utility knife in my crafts and home use. I have had this one for 7 months. No problems until I attempted to add new blades. I thought would never get the back off. added new blade and now I can't get the back to re-attach. Short of breaking the closure I am at a loss in getting the piece to go into place. Apparently I will have to go back to the cheaper use and throw away kind, Any ideas?
