[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has a room in the basement of my house. She loves to hang up posters on her wall. One wall is cement. She uses Scotch Mounting Squares to hang her posters. She says it is easier because there is no measuring or cutting. Just put a Scotch Mounting Sqare in each corner of the poster and she is done. Scotch Moumting Squares adhere to the cement surface and has withstood the test of time.

These removable mounting squares are so difficult to get the second side (black side) off. My wife and I tried 10 of these and could only uncover both sides of two. Even tried a knife. No luck. The ones we got did not hold very well. Never will buy again.

This product required tweezers and way too much of my time for each little cmXcm square, then immediately fell off the wall after application. The most frustrating product because it sticks SO WELL to the black liner, you expect it to be the same on the wall, but it instead just falls right off. Not sure if I got a bad batch or something, but I definitely will never buy these again regardless.

These were recommended to me by a coworker. She noted using them for decor and liking them. So, I used these to put up some decor. When I started packing to move and needed to take them down, the squares completely destroyed the wall. Held up my decor, but will not use these again because the damage done is not worth it. Nail holes would have honestly be better than having to do the drywall and painting for this repair. Clearly the coworker that recommended them never had to remove them.

Removing the backing from these is an exercise in frustration. If there's an easy way to do it, I have yet to figure it out and there's absolutely no helpful info on the packaging. Would it really be so hard to put a little extra on the back which hangs off to facilitate removal. Yeeeesh.

My daughter bought these 1month ago to mount posters. She tried to move them last night and they took the wall off. I researched on the internet other suggestions and saw that it is not uncommon. We will not buy again. The cost is not worth the cost I will spend on drywall repair for ELEVEN mounting square holes.

Scotch should be ashamed of these. Usually Scotch products are top notch. But not these. Even after cleaning the surface with alcohol they will not stick. The only thing one of these pads will stick to is another pad. Maybe they are designed for paper only. Makes me wonder if some of the 5 star reviews were planted. I do highly recommend other Scotch products, but not these.

I purchased this product today. I would give it zero stars. As another review states, the black backing is virtually impossible to remove which makes the product useless. Scotch should be embarrassed to have approved this for sale.

I hung a small lightweight frame using the mounting squares and struggled to get the frame off the wall . After I managed to get it off, it took the paint and plaster with it .
