[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just had my family room furniture cleaned! The cleaner offered to apply a product to my furniture to protect it and stay cleaner longer. I've done that in the past, but I never felt it was helpful. So this time I tried Scotchguard Fabric Water Shield, that I received as a trial sample from 3M. It applied easily and dried quite. That same night, don't you know, wine was spilled and wiped right off the couch cushion without leaving a mark or any wetness! The application of the product did nothing to the feel or color of my couch either. So happy I had the chance to test it out! Thank you!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on the outdoor cushions on my deck. They are on an oceanfront porch and continually are coated in a sticky salt spray residue and the occasional pelican excrement. I scrubbed off the grime, allowed the cushions to dry then sprayed them with the Scotchgard. It worked like a charm. The cushions have stayed clean and the bird droppings brush off. I also noticed that rain beads up instead of soaking in, which means much faster drying time. I initially received a sample of this, but it is so effective I plan to use it on other seating areas outside and move on to the kitchen chairs. I am stocking up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield to try and review. Over the weekend I used my Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield on my r7nning shoes to protect them from getting wet when running over puddles and other wet surfaces. The product perfomrs as advertised, creating a water repellent barrier that keeps my shoes dry. I definitely endorse this product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used Scotchgard for years and I didn't realize what I was missing until I got this opportunity to test it. I have some cushions for my patio chairs and at the end of every season, I take them in and spend too much time trying to get them clean again. After I received the Scotchgard, I sprayed two coats on them and within a couple days there was a drenching storm with a lot of high winds. Usually, after this kind of event, the cushions are soaked and filthy but when I checked them the next day they were clean!! Other than some seams I guess I didn't cover well, they were still bright and spotless! Guess I will start buying Scotchgard again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I purchased a recliner and matching couch last year and have kept it relatively clean. Very minimal issues especially having a 3 year old, 2 cats and a dog. I received this product and tried it. My son knocked over our table in between the two pieces of furniture and knocked off a glass of wine. There was wine everywhere. I used a towel and the red came right up! After drying, there was no stains. Worked great! I received the Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield for free in exchange for this review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in exchange for an honest review. I tested this on a dust rag. When first applied there was a strong smell, but thankfully the smell left when it dried. This was similar to using Skin Shield liquid bandage, or nail polish. The odors left quickly when dried. This is nice protection for the dinette cushions in our new camper. My husband also likes it for his everyday jacket. For clothes it will need to be reapplied after each washing. Its nice to have something to apply to clothes to keep them protected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a sample from 3M to try in my home. I first did a test area with good results, but found the odor to be a very strong chemical smell, so I waited until I was about ready to go to bed to spray the entire sofa. The next morning, I did not smell anything. It suggests that you spray your item twice, which we were able to do on the cushions and arms with the one can we received. We have poured a small amount of water on a cushion and the product seemed to protect the fabric well and there was no spotting after it dried. Based on this, I would recommend this product but suggest if you are sensitive to chemical smells wear a mask.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello, I have two small children here! Spills happen OFTEN. We sprayed this product on the back section of a light gray couch we have to test it. It darkened the fabric slightly, so we did not spray it anymore. However, we used it on a tweed-like fabric couch in our basement that the kids use all the time and it's perfect! Almost as magnetic as clean floors can be, my kids seemed to spill their juice on the couch immediately. The juice stayed on top of the fabric! We wiped it up, and there wasn't a stain in sight. Honestly, so easy that now even my kids can clean up their own spills!
I love love Scotchguard. I spray everything from shoes to clothes to fabric purses to cushions. We just purchased a new 6 pcs. sectional sofa and sprayed several cans to cover all sides. My ONLY complaint is if I don't use the whole can in one sitting, I can never get the product to spray again. I have soaked the little nozzle thingy in hot hot water, traded nozzles from other cans, etc. but to no avail. I end up tossing half a can (I have done this a few times). Any idea/help/advice?
This product (Fabric Water Shield) supposedly replaces the "Fabric Protector". I used to use the old Fabric Protector formula on my sons baseball uniforms. It worked great and repelled ground in dirt and grass stains. Not only does this poor excuse of a new product NOT repel these stains, it creates yellowish stains in various spots on white uniforms. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
