I have used this product for over 20 years. They kept their price the same for many years. However, they recently increased the price. i knew it was only a matter of time. For today, their price is still fair enough. Also, while not the softest paper out there its more about quanity and the value price.
We use this because it's thin and breaks down easily. It's unlikely to ever clog our septic system, unlike more robust toilet paper. A clogged septic system can cost thousands of dollars to fix. Unfortunately, it just isn't very good toilet paper. It is just barely adequate.
Scott was always my First Choice/Brand in Toilet Tissue, BUT the Durability and quality has diminished, it's like you just using your hands to wipe. The texture is not what it use to be.
I've used SCOTT TP for decades. However something changed in the last 6 months, besides the price. I've noticed it has a funky smell to it when I use it to blow my nose, %26 it's not as soft as it used to be. They definitely changed something in it. I'm not sure why the price went up $2.00 either. Where are they getting the materials to make it? Strange.
Do NOT buy!! This is the worst toilet paper ever! My mom never used it n always said not to buy it. But, in today's economy, i thought I would try it. Not to be nasty, but you might as well use your hand because it will go through this cheap paper anyway! It dissolves right in your hand! I always use a lot of toilet paper, even when high quality. But, you can use half the roll of this, and it still just disintegrates in ur hand! Yuk! Even great value toilet paper isnt this bad. Huge waste of money!!
This toilet paper is the worst toilet paper I have ever purchased. You get a lot on a roll but the paper is so incredibly thin it is horrible and you end up using 3 times as much which makes it not a very good deal for your money. I didn’t think I could ever find toilet paper that was worse than the “John Wayne” toilet paper that we are provided at work but I definitely did with this toilet paper. Do not waste your money on this brand.
Have used for years but noticed they have changed the product. Now sounds and feels like “wrapping paper!!!!!!!” So good for my septic system but this change is irritating. After MANY years, I may have to find another paper. Thankfully they didn’t raise their prices but the product has declined.
I was shocked when I started my first roll and saw how thin, and flimsy, this was. We've used another brand for so long, but I've never been happy with the quality. So lately I've been shopping around for a new brand. I saw - and trusted - the Scott brand name, so I was sure this selection would be decent. Was I ever wrong! Like I said in my title, gas station toilet paper is actually thicker and of better quality. Everyone in my household wanted to know, "What the heck were you thinking??!!" once they used it.
The ply seems to be thinner than the last time I purchased this toilet paper. I doubt the rolls will last longer as stated on the package because you end up using twice as much because the ply is SO thin. Shrink-flation - make the ply thinner! Won't clog because it starts to dissolve on contact! I won't purchase this toilet paper again.
Single-ply toilet paper is not worth it, and I regret this purchase. It’s so thin that I ended up using a lot more than usual, and even then, it didn’t hold up well. In the end, I used more paper for worse results. I’ll be sticking to double-ply from now on, it lasts longer and does the job. Definitely not buying this one again.
