Scotts 4 Gallon Lithium-Ion Power Wand Backpack Sprayer

A very wise investment. Living in the country on a big property and being avid gardeners, we do use some weed killer selectively. This back pack sprayer makes this task so much easier, less physical work (no pumping) therefor any job we do using this is so much easier and so much quicker. A back saver. A time save. The tank on this can get a bit heavy with four gallons in it, but everything works the way it should. It has made fertilizing plants a lot easier and more fun, and as far as I can tell it seems to be of good quality. I have emptied the tank three times so far and the charge on the wand hasn't gone out yet. Pressure seems great and it's easy to use.

I purchased the 4-gallon but only use 2-gallon due to its weight. A man could carry more. Very well made with thought given to the user. Padded straps, place to hang wand on the tank, gallon markers on the side of the tank, 3-different spray patterns. Due to the battery in the wand, no pumping. Battery charge is about 4 hours and Scotts provides a plug for the charging cord. Scotts provides instructions on how to keep the wand from clogging. Tank is almost emptied out by the time the wand starts spitting empty. They even provide a way to use the spray wand with a store bought ready-made gallon of whatever you are using. Doesn't leak at this time and I have used it and refilled it multiple times. If you have a large insect or herbicide or fertilzer spray job then treat yourself - it is worth it! Owned it for less than a month.

This sprayer ROCKS! Works like a champ. Use this for application of pest control liquid and weed control. Fits better than other backpack sprayers I have tried, and far more comfortable. Not having to pump is a real game changer. And it's rechargeable, so no worries of having the right size batteries laying around when it dies. I've gone through spraying 8 gallons around my yard (2 full backpacks worth) and the wand showed no indication it was dying. Strongly recommend to anyone homeowner that likes to DYI when it comes to yard care!

This sprayer was very easy to set up and quick to use right out of the box. The lithium-ion battery makes the job much easier compared to manual pumping, and the backpack design is comfortable to wear. It sprays evenly and saves a lot of time when treating larger areas. Worth every penny! The charge on the wand lasts for several tanks. I keep up the landscape beds at a large campground in the mountains and I can spray every bed on the property several times before I have to recharge. I love this sprayer so much that I have bought 2 of them so far! 1 for our house %26 1 for our place in the mountains. I have recommended it to several of our friends for spraying weed killer

The day I received the sprayer,I mixed up 3 gallons of weed killer and it worked just as advertised. The pressure was consistent through the entire spraying. Not having to stop and pump saved alot of time. Assembly was easy and quick. I highly recommend this sprayer.

I needed to buy a more heavy duty sprayer as I was using a pump and had a very large lawn with hundreds of dandelions and creeping Charlie so the pump was not going to do the trick. I purchased this battery powered option and it worked nicely. For me personally, putting the backpack on with four gallons on liquid was an issue as I am not a big burly woman. I had to place it on a step and load it onto my back. Once I got that figured out it worked nicely and I covered my 13000 sf lawn fairly quickly. The pressure was pretty good….not extremely strong. The parts are all plastic so I'm not sure how long they will last but hopefully the manufacturer will stand behind it if I encounter any issues. Overall, this made my job much more efficient.

The sprayer worked great except it does NOT have a locking mechanism for the sprayer valve. You need to hold the sprayer button down if you want a continuous spraying. It was too fatiguing for my hands as I use it for a couple of hours at a time. I returned for a different model that had a locking mechanism for the sprayer.

Personally, I absolutely raved about this product until it stopped working. I bought it and it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Unfortunately, after about three uses, the sprayer stopped working. I'm not sure if it is the sprayer or the hose. The sprayer still charges and moves, but nothing comes out of the tank. The replacement of those two parts plus shipping is almost as much as I bought it for so it's not really worth buying replacements. I went from extremely happy with this product to extremely disappointed with it.
