We just used this Step 2 on our lawn, after Step 1 earlier this spring. The rapid improvement was remarkable! The much-hated pesky weeds started drying up and withering away in no time; and, after a rainfall the following day, the grass was a new brilliant shade of green! Last year we used a lawn-care service; this year, we're doing it ourselves w/ Scott products -- cheaper, and we are happier w/ the results.
I used the Scott's 4 step program for several years then tried another product one year. The results with the non Scott's product was terrible. Back to Scott's for the next 3-4 years. My lawn looks great!! I strongly recommend the Scott's 4 step program. A bit more $ than other products but well worth the investment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this product while the morning dew was still on the grassand knowing that it was going to rain after 24 hours and the product showed visable results on the weeds in a couple days as well as visible greening to my lawn great product easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My yard is the first thing people see when they see my property. I take care of all aspects of it's needs and requirements. Weeds are NOT a part of my plan....so Scotts makes sure they do not appear! Thanks Scotts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems like it's been a tough year on lawns. Heavy, frequent rains in April, May & June made the lawn lazy. Cutting 3 times a week. Along comes July & August and it turns dry with no rain. Since I don't have an inground sprinkler, I quickly realize I can't put enough water on to keep it from going dormant. Then comes the weeds: not just one; weeds I haven't seen in years. I find myself needing weed control in August, I am putting in Step 2. Good by weeds. It killed them dead. No more weeds sucking up the water. The grass is recovering and we are finally getting some fall rain. Thank you Scotts. You have saved my lawn to fight another year.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scott's has the best products, high quality products! This is a great product, kills the weeds and makes the grass grow at the same time! I sprayed this product on my a portion of my lawn, and in 2 weeks I could see a difference!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put Scotts® STEP® 2 - Weed Control Plus Lawn Food 2 on my lawn and within days I could se the pesky weeds start to die Grass seems to be greening up would recommend you give it a try it worked well for my lawn
Finally got my lawn where I wanted it and applied Scott's step 2 exactly as the package explained - While leaves are wet and not before any heavy rains. 5 days later my lawn was completely torched. I am devastated. Took me a ton of work last fall and this spring to get my lawn where I wanted. Literally have to start over. I'll never use this stuff again and suggest that nobody does. Absolute garbage.
I have used their 4 step program on multiple lawns for years. This one is the last. Step 2 unilaterally destroyed nearly my entire picture perfect lawn in one foul application. The front, side and back are all dead and patchy as can be. But what area is still perfectly green? My garden yard. Where no Scotts products are applied ever because of the edible plants. And because I purchased it from my local garden center, and not one of their listed agents, I imagine I am going to have to eat every dead blade by myself with no assistance from them. Avoid their products.
Killed no lawn violets, barely any clover.Did it in a cross pattern so not to have missed spots. Lawn was dewy and material was sticking to leaves. Not worth the money or time spent.
