SCRIB3D Junior 3D Printer Pen, Child Safe with Free Refills, Multicolor

My son and I tried out the 3D pen together and it was pretty cool to use. It is easy to set up, just sticking the reel of material through the back and controlling it with the button to start, stop and reverse it. It takes a little getting used to it with the speed and everything. The pen comes with a couple different activities to try. My son did one of them to try it out and then he made his own little champion belt for his wrestling action figures. I was impressed with how long the spools last as well. After making two little creations it looks like he used none at all. It is fun and I like how it makes my child use his imagination and be creative. It’s fun to see what he creates. I’d like to get some more colors for him to use as well. I’m sure he’ll be able to make some pretty cool things as he gets the hang of it more with more practice.

As a family we've purchased a few 3D pens over the year. This one did not disappoint. Most importantly, my son loves it, and I have to confess I "borrowed" it to doodle a mini me. The pen is easy to use, cool looking, and has great instructions and stencils includes. On the more geeky side, such great packaging, and a really enjoyable unboxing experience. From an economic point of view, well worth the money, and I am so glad that there is now a new kid-safe 3D pen in the market at an even more reasonable cost. Recommendation: buy!

This 3d printing pen is so much fun! You can create so many things it just doesn’t get old. It charges quickly and easily. I wish it came with some more colors but it does come with 3. And they seem to last a while.. we’ve been using it for a couple weeks and haven’t ran out yet! Would definitely recommend.

My Son (6) and I had a blast with this 3D pen. We got it and made a precent for his mother. It was a picture of our family. We drew it flat and then pealed if off the paper. After that we understood much better how to use the pen we went on to do much more. We fixed several toys that were broken and then went on to make several add on for some toys. So it's been a hit and he think that it's a much better way to get toys by making them. So I might save some money using this.

I love displaying what they come up with it in my house. I don’t have to worry much about them hurting themselves with this because it’s pretty simple to use and operate. I also think the price is very reasonable for a 3D creating product. I have not looked into the price of the refills yet.

Honestly, this might be useful and fun for school projects. The pen body is a little bulky and may be too big for smaller hands but should work for my pre-teen and I. My gorilla shaped partner may break it, though. Be warned, the small price tag gives you a taste of what this can do. The package comes with three spoils of filament in white,black, and orange. You can order additional colors separately for another $20 but you will burn through that pretty quickly. If you aspire to make the dragons and other complex figures on the box, you will need a LOT of filament. That's where this can become an expensive hobby.

I bought this for my 9 yr old son’s birthday. He and my 11 yr old daughter seemed to like it for about a week but interest waned quickly. I think I’m more interested in it than they are. There are so many amazing things you can do with it. You have to gauge their interest. The item itself was super easy to use straight out of the box, and pretty simple. I think more project ideas would be even more helpful.

the charger is way too short. it never charged to green %26 never heated up.
