Sculpey Clay Softener

Didn't know I needed this until I got it! Used to struggle a lot to condition my clay. This is definitely lot better than the solid softener or vaseline.

This was my first round with Sculpey Clay Softener and Thinner. It works well with Sculpey 3. One drop at a time is all I needed to condition my clay. I used about 3 drops and passed it through the pasta machine it was then ready for cutting with the shapers. My clay was actually sticky before I used it, and stuck to my acrylic board. After I used the thinner and changed to a glass table topper it worked 100%. That is totally a rule of thumb to add to your clay issues. Glass or marble/granite is legit. By adding a few drops you won't even have to purchase often. I love making clay projects and thx scupley for helping me start grand adventures.

The clay softener works great!! You don't need but a few drops in most cases when dealing w old dry clay. It makes a huge difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works exactly as intended! It removes finger prints, softens firm and stiff clay without having to warm up the clay with hands. I love this so much. I honeslty have used it a lot since I started sculpting. I do wish it was in a bigger bottle because I utilize it whenever possible lol Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a bunch of super sculpey clay sitting around that I started sculpting or had sitting without it being wrapped back up and it got dry over time. I purchased the clay softener and it brought the clay back to life and made it soft and I was able to shape it again without it crumbling apart like it can get if it sits for a long time like it did for me when I didn't wrap it up to store it properly. I would highly recommend the clay softener and thinner!

I purchased this last year after i picked up a few blocks of scupy that were on clearance and getting a little hard. It worked really well did what was expected. I used a bit too much thoughand had to dry it with pats on construction paper to get rid of the excess oils. A little goes a long way!

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I'm sure I will find it useful. I only gave it 3 stars because I didn't quite get a full bottle. The part of the cap that screws closed was loose. About 1/4 of the liquid leaked out and pretty much got over all the clay packages I had purchased also. Fortunately, they were well wrapped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the liquid clay softener and it was basically a solid. This was my first bottle so I have no comparison. I was able to stir it enough to scrape out of the bottle but it won't squeeze out. Hoping this was just a bad bottle.
