The scuttle bug is the cutest! We have the red Lady bug one. It has a cute face on the front. When we opened it up we didn't have to show my little one what to do. She immediately sat on it and began pushing herself around with her legs. She is 16 months and the scuttle bug is the perfect size for her. It is also lightweight. While sitting on the scuttle bug she lifts her bum off the seat to lift it up over the rug in our house. We just took it outside for the first time yesterday. The wheels did start to get scratched up from the sidewalk but it was obvious that was going to happen. I attached a picture of the scuttle bug next to a radio flyer trike for size reference. My little one can not reach the pedals on the radio flyer yet. I would definitely recommend a scuttle bug as a child's first "bike." My daughter loves riding it. She watches her older sister on her bike so it makes her feel included now that she has something to ride on her own.
My kids absolutely love this tricycle. I need to buy another one because my toddlers are constantly fighting over it. It was easy to unfold the first time we used it and is very easy to fold back up to store. My one year old does a good job maneuvering it around our house. We have taken it all over the neighborhood. The bright red color and beetle design is very cute. I highly recommend this trike!
I have a 20 month old son and he absolutely loves his little bike. It is very cute. It is the perfect size for him to scoot all around on it. It works perfectly indoors and outdoors, even on carpet. It takes up no space at all once you fold it up. You just easily, quickly and effortlessly fold in each leg and the front wheel and you could put it away almost anywhere. It could fit in a drawer, closet, under the bed, even a toy box.
This is the first ride-on my son has ever been interested in. He jumps on it and scoots around our house. The tires run great on any surface - rug or tile, without leaving scuff marks. It folds up to a really compact area, making storage when not in use great! My son is able to steer it really well. For my son it's a little on the small side but he is extremely tall for his 2.5 years. Even with it being a little bit on the small side we can't get him off of it. Highly recommend.
This toy is so cute! It's perfect for my 2 year old. Although my 5 yr old had fun on it as well but I wouldn't recommend for maybe older than 3. It was easy to unfold and fold. It gets pretty flat when all folded up which is good for taking places or storing. My daughter (2) picked up on how to use it right away. The wheels are rubbery so it doesn't damage floors indoors, however we took outside. It is the daily rotation of things played with. Kids love it. The wheels were similar to a scooter wheel. There is no padding on the handle bars or anywhere but it's not needed the handle bars sit lower and at an angle so hitting the child face in the event of a crash isn't likely.
Cute little ride on toy. My son is a big two year old and he is borderline too big for it. It says it is for 18m to 3y but I think 3 year may be pushing it. My guy was able to get on and ride it with no problem as soon as we opened it. It says it is collapsible but we haven't felt the need to use that feature yet. Wheels are soft enough not to scratch the floor.. Bright and adorable.
Such a cute toy! I ordered the Scuttlebug Bumble, Kid's Indoor and Outdoor Foldable 3-Wheel Trike Ride-on for my two-year old granddaughter who really enjoys the foot-to-floor ride-on toys. She was funny when she saw it. She exclaimed, “Oh, a bus!” She didn't make the connection to a bumblebee but has fun with it none-the-less. This toy is recommended for ages 18 – 3 years old. It is not difficult to fold and unfold the three-click folding system. Note there is an arrow on each of the two back wheel legs. You push the leg in the direction of the arrow then pull out to unlock and open them. The interlock is a little tight and requires some force when opening but I am guessing some of that may be due to it being brand new and that it might adjust slightly with use and be less difficult. It was not a problem though. The bright yellow and cute face and eyes on this trike make it very attractive to toddlers. My granddaughter feels very independent riding it as she scoots it across the floor. The trike is advertised for both indoor and outdoor use although we will likely use it mostly indoors. Overall, we are very pleased with the Scuttlebug Bumble trike and would recommend it.
My two year old is absolutely in love with this little trike! It's on the shorter side so it's perfect for smaller kids, but has no wheels so it's great for not having to push them around on it as they get bigger. She is able to lift it up by herself when she gets stuck so it's not bulky. Set up was a breeze and the design is truly adorable!!
This is a very cute tricycle. My 2 year old loves the ladybug design. It folds easily for storage, and unfolded in seconds to begin riding. It's lightweight enough that she can pick it up to move it around, but sturdy enough for up to 40 pounds. It says it is for up to 3 years old, but it is a little small for my tall 2 year old. She is very tall for her age, but would have fit her perfectly around 12-18 months. I think it would make a great first tricycle.
lightweight, too much, need helmet to ride indefinitely even in the house, can flip backwards pretty easily if they sit back just a smidge too far, overall cute, seems fun but was not impressed and happy to curb it.
