This drive is being used as a replacement for a failed drive in a Buffalo TeraStation TS5400D and it worked perfectly! I would buy again if needed!

I previously had a newer 2 teribite hard drive and my computer got unplugged while it was running, this destroyed the hard drive because it didn't write to an actual disc. So I ordered this one it's slightly larger and slightly slower than the drive my computer was built but we have power outages from time to time and this is a better option. I mentioned that it was slightly larger than the original, the other one had to have a spacer to make it fit into the computer slot. The wires are all the same. I am very pleased.

Cam in a protected package that would lower damage from shock and dropage, which can really kill a hard drive with a moving head. Windows recognized and asked to format straight away and the speed of the drive is food enough for mass storage which is what I bought it for to replace my 13 year old Seagate Barracuda 2 TB that died.

I ordered this device, did not get the rest of my PC parts in time to test within the Walmart return window, which is my fault. I did not remove this device until time to actually install it into my system and it does not work. My PC will find the device, so it is powered and appropriately plugged in. The issue comes from initializing the disk, I have done everything to fix it on my end, and after many hours the consensus is that the device is simply defective. I have gone through Walmart to contact the seller for assistance on the issue, I was told they would respond within 48 hours (I understand it is an automated message), but it has been a week with no response.
