Sear Plate for Joe Jr™ and Classic Joe™ Grills

Perfect addition to the KJ Jr. We have seared steaks as well as every day grilling perfectly with this grate.

It's an awesome addition to the Kamado joe. It sits very close to the coals allowing you to get a great sear at a much lower dome temp. Just like any cast iron be sure to season it before you start using it for the first time.

This is very solid (and heavy). Made for the Joe Jnr, it also fits directly on the Classic firebox allowing very hot searing. I am thrilled to have it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this sear plate in both my Classic 2 and my Joe Jr. I put it right at the bottom of the divide and conquer. I reverse sear steaks until I get to the right temperature then sear the bad boys right at the fire. The best steaks I've cooked

I originally purchased the half plate; and this came out, I had to get because the half plate worked excellent for my steaks; I just feel that any other grill pales in comparison to Kamado Joe!!

The Sear plate really upped my grill game. I was making great food for my family but once I added the sear plate, it was noticeable. If you have any Komado Joe, you need to get this plate.

Great product. Double sided for preference of grill marks. Can't go wrong with cast iron. Actually slightly larger than standard grill great so increases your cooking area as well

The KJ sear plate really does the job once it is hot. It is substantially constructed - meaning heavy - and sears well. I use it all the time. Glad I bought it.

This sear plate is high quality and does the job, however, it is too heavy and cumbersome to move into place, especially on the Joe Junior. If a person is attempting a reverse sear and wants to move the plate into the lower position and then retrieve it after the cook, it is tough on your fingers and difficult to move. Wish it was lighter and easier to place.

I've written reviews that have been deleted on this website before because they were negative. So, let's hope this one sticks. Does note fit Joe Jr. - otherwise it's great. Had to take a dremel out the sides of my Joe to make it fit. Can't recommend it.
