Good
It was as described. It was a little wobbly, so we ended up buying another plate that has a white plastic piece for the extension to fit in. It was less wobbly and still cheaper than anything else.

Scary fishing seat support
I saw a review that said this was unstable, that is an absolute understatement. I got seasick in my driveway after I installed it. If this doesn't break and send me overboard, I'll be surprised. Literally, it sways 2-3" side to side and front to back. I'm very disappointed because I had a set up similar in a boat I used to own, and it was great. This is however not a seat pedestal for the faint of heart.

Too much play in the pedestal it is not safe! I am returning all three I purchased.
