SeaStar Pro is the industry standard for bass boats. Everyone knows the system works well and as it should. This is the first one I've ever installed and it's not that hard. Pay attention to the diagrams because there really isn't a whole lot of written installation detail. If you have a high performance bass boat with 150hp or larger, don't mess around. You require a SeaStar not a BayStar. Be sure you have torque wrenches, Take your time, Double check everything. One thing worth noting; the documentation doesn't make it clear that you must cross the hydraulic lines. The port line connect to the starboard end of the cylinder and the starboard line connects to the port end of the cylinder.

Product is amazing. I had a broken helm on my old rack and pinion system and was not able to use my boat at all. I fish Pro-Am and it was a big deal. When i seen the shipping date i was concerned I wouldn't get it in time for my next tournament. Not only did i get the pro star system 3 days early but it was such a easy install that i did it after work the night it arrived and it took about 2hrs to have the old cables out and the new system ready to go. I watched all the info i could to have a good understanding on the “how to's” before i started. The part of removing my old cables had me worried i would have to pull my motor but i knew they were trash and never use them again so i cut them at the motor and they came out in 10min. I love the new system and it made my boat a whole new ride. I have 01 Bass cat pantera classic with 200 efi mercury it works just like I'm driving my truck
