This is a really good lock to keep little fingers out of dangerous stuff. Used this for under the sink capinet where we keep cleaning supplies. We used a different one before I got this lock but I like this one a lot better. Curious little guy won't be able to open this anytime soon!

like most baby proofing things, it's annoying for adults (and isn't the most aesthetically pleasing to eyes) but it works great for it's intended purpose. my 20 month old watches carefully as we use the babyproof locks on everything and has figured several of them out, so it is just a matter of time before she figures this one out too. However, you have to push both sides of the lock with a decent amount of pressure and I really don't think a toddler's little hands can handle this. The bottom part of the locking mechanism part can also be adjusted to different levels so it will fit a lot of different size lever handles.

This product is much better than the others we have tried that just go over the knobs. My 18 month old can’t get this off as you actually remove the hardware on one side to install it. It has all rounded edges and no extra plastic hanging out that could poke a little one in the eye like some other brands. The only reason for 4 stars is you really need 2 hands to release it - you have to push the little tab one way and pull the end the opposite direction. Sometimes my thumb hurts from pushing the little tab. It’s definitely effective and the best design i have tried.

I received the Safety 1st Secure Mount Home Safety Cabinet Lock (2pk) to try. Although my cabinet knobs were spaced too far apart, I tried them on my mom's cabinet and they work as expected. They work as good as others I've tried and better than some I've tried. I'd seen them before but never purchased them. I would it them and I'd recommend them to others.

Have you ever been to someone's house that was completed baby-proofed with products that were almost adult-proof too? I was a little concerned about using locks because they often end up being a hassle. Luckily these Safety 1st cabinet mount locks are not so complicated that an adult can't open the cabinet. We have been using them on our bathroom cabinets for nearly a month to keep our 2 year-old, 4 year-old and 5-year-old out. The oldest is able to figure out how to open but I'm not concerned about her. The one I want to keep out is the 2-year-old, which these locks successfully did. I can trust that the locks will work and she will not find her way into the cabinets. The locks were very easy to install.

They are the best option around if you have round knobs though as they are not permanent like any other locks I've seen, do not require you to drill holes in your cabinets and can move with you if you need to take them with you out of town or to another house. Very sturdy my toddler has yet to get it off and sometimes I have trouble getting it off with one but that outweighs the positive aspects of these cabinet safety locks.

This lock is very easy to install, has a great adjustable fit, and doesn't require Any hardware or permanent modification of your cupboards. And of course, it keeps little ones out of cabinets. The only possibile drawback is it's a little bulky, but the pros definitely outweigh the one con for this lock.

I put the product on my cabinets, it says it works on cabinets with handles, it's fine, until you have a toddler smart enough to pop it off. 2 of my kids leave it alone, the other popped it off in 5 seconds. Should be closed on both ends for cupboards with handles

I recently had the opportunity to use Safety 1st's (product) for the first time. I have been using Safety 1st products ever since my son was born 4 years ago. However, I this was my first time using the Secure Mount Cabinet Lock. The product serves it's purpose of keeping little hands out of kitchen cupboards. The design allows the lock to be opened and closed without having to remove the entire device (one end stays connected to the cabinet hardware/knob). For the most part, the lock is easy to use, and provides an effective barrier for children. However, if the zip-tie-looking strip is not inserted in a straight horizontal line, the lock has a tendency to jam (preventing the release latch to function) — When this happens, it requires some strength to open the lock. Also, due to the design, this lock is probably not compatible with some types of cabinet hardware. A major benefit of this product is that it does not use adhesive to install/secure to cabinet. Therefore, unlike previous cabinet locks I've used, it will not weaken over time (or as your child grows stronger). Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone seeking an effective way to secure cabinets with standard, round door-pulls/knobs. We bought a couple packages of these for our kitchen cabinets to keep our toddler grandchildren out of them. Looked like a great concept. However, they are designed horribly! Once on you cannot open them! I had to pop my cabinet knobs off to get them off. They do not slide or function as described. They are such a nightmare I wouldn't even give them to someone else. Wish I could get my money back!
