I love this product and so happy with my purchase. I found out after set up that “S Garage” is needed for this lawnmower to protect it from rain. This robotic lawnmower is easy to assemble. Comes with step by instructions to pair device to phone, set up boundary's and manual mow or set up a schedule. They give good step by step instructions on the app and customer service responds within 24 hours.
This version has smaller battery and is used up quickly. So the mower needs to return to the charging station. This becomes an issue when fence gate needs to be kept open while it returns to charge. A slightly larger battery would have been perfect. The mower does great everywhere except between the houses. It loses GPS signal and when it regains it, it thinks that it is outside the border. So it keeps searching. The workaround is to mow at night when it uses camera for navigation more. It still gets lost but not easily. The mobile phone app also allow remote control the unit via Bluetooth connection. This helps getting unit unstuck without going outside. Cutting disc on this is way too far from the edge, that leaves giant strip of uncut grass. A larger disc seems to have resolved the issue. Overall, it's excellent mower and excellent mobile phone app.
I've never been very good at keeping up with the lawn, and now I don't have to. The annoying things like wild onions have died off from the frequent mowing, and the rest of the yard keep improving since the grass has a chance to out grow the weeds. Trying to decide if I want to get a second mower or the gate
It was very easy to setup. The app is intuitive. The first time I plugged it in it had trouble finding a GPS signal but I moved it around a bit and it was fine in its original spot. The unit itself is very durable and it's two big wheels got around a lot of tough terrain in my yard. I was able to mow my yard 300 mi away from home which was pure joy. Mapping my yard was very easy and it's actually pretty fun. The mapping software and unit are very flexible to a lot of different terrain and yard types
I searched around for a few weeks to see what would be the best fit for my back yard. I have thick St Augustine grass here in Texas and didn't really see anyone mention it in their reviews, so I took a leap of faith. Best. Decision, Ever! It has saved me many hours and lots of sweat not being in the hot Texas sun and my lawn looks almost like a golf course.I had to initially cut my grass as low as I could (3 setting on my mower) and bag the clippings to give it a fresh start. That was a month ago or more and it cuts three times a week. I have only had two incidents where it was stuck, and I quickly resolved them. The only thing I would have done different is ordered the 1/4 acre unit as mine takes about 5 hours of charging and cutting to do my entire yard. It has been a game changer for me and I highly recommend it.
so far it's terrific ... we have a little yard .. and have yard work done by the Homeowners Association. They use "big mowers" that were leaving "ruts" in the yard, and more importantly, upsetting my wife. This little mower does a great job and now I have a "Happy Wife". Thank you.
I was willing to pay more so I didn't have to put wires in the ground to guide a robomower. This one does pretty well. The fact that it can drive itself back to the charger and start itself back up again and continue when fully charged is also great! If you are setting up boundaries where the grass is near a curb, be aware that the accuracy of the GPS sensing is +/– a foot or so. If you try to make things too precise, it will frequently roll into the street. Better to set the boundary a little further into the lawn area and handle edge areas on curbs with the manual controls on a smartphone. But despite these hiccups, totally worth it for me.
Really cool. If you have a large yard it could be hugely help. My lawn is small, has many edges and obstacles. It unfortunately will not be replacing my lawn guy.. so it was returned. I hope future models improve Steering for perimeter setup Sensor locations And cameras. It crashed repeatedly into the house foundation and dug into the grass. Also scraped up the devise house. It does cut nicely.
I am really disappointed in the amount of yard it cuts before it needs recharging my yard area a 60 foot by 60 foot area and it took 2 recharges to complete the mapping system it a little tricky also I'm having trouble setting up zones but other than that I do like this mower wish I would have bought the 1/4 acre unit even though my yard is less than 1/8 acre is a way to up grade the battery to get extra range?
Stopped working after 8 months so I contacted Segway. 30 days later and no resolution. Not recommended.
