Select by Calphalon 12" Nonstick Round Grill Pan

I didn't think I would ever buy a grill pan, but I am now living in an apartment and miss grilling out and didn't think I would ever enjoy a grilled steak again. Boy am I glad I tried this pan, I use it all the time for my chicken and steak. Clean up is a breeze. Much easier to store than a bulky indoor grill.

The item arrived with a chip on the coating. Shipped very poorly and I had to pay for return shipping. Very poor experience

I was so excited when I was offered the opportunity to review this 12" Round Grill as I'd been wanting one forever! I was sent this free but all opinions are my own. Our family loves to make gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches featuring herbs, savory vegetables, and delicious cheeses. This awesome pan grills them to perfect toastiness! It's also great for searing steaks and chicken. It's oven safe to 400º and the nonstick features makes for easy clean up. I especially love the high quality and durability with which it's made. The 10 year warranty assures me that I'll get lots of great use from this product. I'm happy to add it to my cookware collection.

The Calphalon 12 inch nonstick hard-anodized grill pan is the next best thing to cooking on an open grill. It cooks food evenly, sears in the flavor, and leaves beautiful grill marks that you can't get with a flat pan. I love that it has a comfort grip, stay-cool handle that is easy to hold and doesn't heat up so your hand stays away from the heat of the pan. Even with the stay-cool handle the pan is oven safe to 400º F. It can be used on gas, electric, or glass top stoves making it a great pan no matter what type of stove you have. I love that it is 12 inches which is a great size to cook 4 large burgers or 4 large chicken breasts at one time. But my favorite feature is how easy it is to clean. I cooked burgers in the grill pan last night and there was lots of juices from the burgers that had baked on and caramelized. I thought for sure I'd have to scrub the grill pan to get it off but that wasn't the case. I let it cool down and then soaked it for about 10 minutes in warm, soapy water and with the swipe of a sponge I was able to easily clean all the channels of the pan. It is made with solid construction that I expect from a Calphalon product as Calphalon's products stand the test of time. The pan comes with a 10 year warranty, too. I'm still using my other Calphalon pans that I received over 15 years ago as wedding presents and I expect to be able to use this grill pan for years to come, too. The first thing I noticed when I picked this pan up was how incredibly comfortable the handle is. I have other skillets and large pans that are exceptionally awkward to pick up and carry, but the combination of the shape of the handle and the comfort grip coating is great. I'm also excited that this pan is oven safe up to 400 degrees. I make a pork loin that In normally sear off, then transfer to another pan to cook in the oven (dirtying 2 dishes in the process). Now I'll be able to grill it in this pan, and the transfer it to the oven to finish cooking. Less mess is always something that makes me happy. So far I've used the pan for steaks, asparagus, chicken and even bacon. It heats evenly and the food releases easily, too. I have only had this product for a week and have already used it to cook 3 meals! So far I've cooked burgers, steaks, and hot dogs. I love that it cooks evenly and makes the grill marks. It's like having a grill in the comfort of your own kitchen. It's large enough to cook for 2-3 people. It is easy to use and cleaning is a breeze! I added this round grill to my collection of Calphalon collection and I love it. This pan is a great size as I can see 3-4 sandwiches fitting in this pan. I love the way it toasts the bread and leaves the cool lines. I also have cooked fish in this pan and I love the way the food cooks while the grease drips away from the food. The food does not stick and the pan cleans up well with soapy water. I can see this pan great for grilling veggies, chicken, burgers and more. The pan heats up fast and cooks evenly. Like all my other Calphalon pieces, this is durable and looks great. When cared for correctly it will look great after many years. I have Calphalon that is ten years old and they still look great. I have found out that it is best to let nonstick cookware cool completely before washing to keep it looking great. If you are looking for a grill pan to grill indoors, this is the pan for you. It cooks wonderfully and has ample room. I have used it for chicken, steak and vegetables so far, and everything has turned out great. this pan cooks food perfectly without drying it out. I love how the pan cooks evenly and how the heat is distributed well throughout the pan so you don't have to worry about one side cooking faster than the other sides. The handle doesn't get hot and is comfortable to hold. I am very happy with how easy it is to clean. The non-stick is good quality. Pros: Retains heat Heats quickly and evenly Handle stays cool on the stovetop Easy to clean by hand Light-weight Cons: Grill marks are faint I absolutely love this pan and look forward to using it for many years. I have been using this pan for about 3 months now. It seemed like a good purchase but now it's non-stick coating has started to come off. This pan has been treated with care and washed with warm water after use. I really enjoyed it but I am sad that the quality degraded so quickly.

Well the item does say it is a grill pan, the pictures do not show any grill on the bottom of the pan.
