This saucepan is great for rice. I was looking for a 2 qt nonstick saucepan to replace my old one, which I had scratched, but only saw that size in sets. I saw this 1 1/2 size and decided to take a chance on in. It is a perfect size for my needs and I love how my rice, whether basmati, brown or just long grain, cooks in it. The top fits nicely, so little steam escapes, and all my rice comes out perfectly fluffy. So glad I purchased this.

Love this sauce pan! It has high sides which makes it perfect for sauces, gravies, soups, rice, and even spaghetti sauce for two. I use it everyday. Perfect size at 1.5 quarts. I wore out my old one and was very happy to find that I could replace one pan from this series. Have tried other brands but none sits as flat and steady on the gas grates. The construction allows for even heating and the nonstick finish makes cleanup a breeze.

Love the size and durability. Purchased this as part of a replacement for an older set I tossed out to fit into size not offered by the Emeril Forever Pans set I opted for. Same color, weight, style, metal-utensil safe, and non-stick surface I was trying to match.

I have owned Calphalon pans for years and they last forever. The pans are made to be able to be used with conduction stove tops. I hand wash my pans easily but put the lids in the dishwasher. Washing the pans in the dishwasher will leave a film on them and you will need to put oil on them like a cast iron pan to make the newness return. I do not suggest putting the pans in the dishwasher.

This Calphalon Hard-Anodized Nonstick 2.4-quart sauce pan with cover works so well for a bunch of my meals! I love making warm pasta dishes in here and smaller portion soups as well. It's non stick making it easy to clean and take care of. It's the perfect weight to hold comfortably and doesn't take up much storage space. The lid works really efficiently also.

It's almost perfect. The only shortcoming? I've only had it for two months. Check with me in two YEARS to find out my REAL rating.

I'll start by saying i have Calphalon fry/sautee pans, and i LOVE them.That is why i bought two of the saucepans. I don't know why, I am assuming because they heat up so quickly, but I am constantly having problems with things bubbling over in these saucepans. I can have them filled only a third full and whatever is in it typically bubbles over. This is not a problem I've had with my previous other brand saucepans. So while I can strongly recommend their larger fry pans, I regretfully dont recommend the saucepans.
