The cut to fit belts are much more precise than the belts with holes for fit. The leather like finish is not bad. Wish one brown buckle was included instead of two black is my only issue.

Love the ratchet belt concept: you can get a perfect fit when you had too much to eat in one sitting, or for those whose waistline can change depending on your seasonal workout regimens(me in both cases!). Came as a two set in a black bougie-looking box, with foam inserts, no less. Nice touch. I primarily use the black belt option for most cases. The brown looks lighter than what's advertised but pops when worn with casuals. The buckles are matted finish, so it looks terrific in either dress up slacks or casual(travel slacks/jeans). The buckles on this belt are easily removable with a latch, a nice bonus (I liked to swap out buckles when one would inevitably get scratched up/worn, or even just a change in style with some of my older belt buckles). You can cut down the length of the belt for a more custom fit/neater look. The belt band is something I think will last about 2 years of almost everyday wear before noticeable wear becomes apparent. (all the ratchet belts I've ever owned start to crack/peel after constant wear). I'd buy them again.

The micro sizing each little click is a wonderful thing because my belly keeps changing its size especially when you’re standing and sitting very easy to adjust without looking like you’re taking off your pants lol

I would only recommend this item if I explained to the friend NOT to cut the belt based on the numbers on the back. I cut mine based on the numbers and now they are WAY too small.

One of the buckles was broken so only one out of the two worked.

did not fit my 43" waist ordered 42'pants with order and those slightly managed to button, thank goodness, would like a refund on the two belts i ordered knowing i was not a 46 but neither belt fit

Although well made, the waist measurement markings on the back of the belt for trimming are missing marked. Trimming for me at 41" to give a couple of extra inches made the belt way too short. I have a similar belt from another brand that has the markings that are correct. I trimmed before putting it on and will have donate the belts to someone slimmer. If you buy this, ignore the waist sizes and try it on before trimming.

These are decent looking belts and buckles. There is one huge problem. The buckle slips off the ratchet hooks as you are moving around. At least it did for me. After putting on the belt and tightening it, if you bend or twist or move around the buckle slips off the ratchet hooks and loosens. It's hard to describe. I only wore it one day and I had to retighten the belt several times. Also, there are no instructions on how to cut the belt to size and assemble the buckle onto the belt.
